Samba 4 on AIX with XLC
Has anyone tried building Samba 4.0 on AIX with XLC?
I'm moving right along, but tripping up on some bugs in source3/utils/net_rpc.c, source3/utils/net_rpc_printer.c, and source3/utils/net_cache.c where there is an invalid use of the ":" operator. According to some other posts on the PostgreSQL forum, this shouldn't compile anywhere, even though GCC apparently allows it?? (http://archives.postgres...

Problems with ACLs
Hi,
I think the error is in converting the POSIx ACl, but I don't know how to
fix this.
I checked the following entry in the Log:

smbclient oddness

Problems with ACLs
Hi,
I have a Samba4 File Server on Debian 10
I am not being able to assign permissions on shares to groups that already
have the Unix attribute set. Groups without the Unix attribute are working
OK.
My two DC are Samba4 (migrated of the Windows 2008 Server) and my current
File Servers are Windows 2008 Server.
I followed "Setting up a Share Using Windows ACLs" tutorial (

Shares not accessible when using FQDN

Even more strange, it works on some workstations but not all..

samba bad password count reset between logins (not loaded from login_cache.tdb)

filename_convert_internal: checkname failed NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER

Samba 4.6.0 - Domain admin can't list nor access shares on file server
...previously - the only thing I can
think of that could cause the change was that Administrator's password
has expired. I don't know if it is related to this problem or not.

Samba 4.2 AD member accesible by name but not by IP

The server is FreeBSD 10.1. It behaves the same way with Samba 4.1.18
and now with Samba 4.2.2 both installed via FreeBSD ports.
