Current box: CentOS 4.x (32 bit), dovecot 1.02, mbox format
New box (supposed): CentOS 6.x (32/64 bit ? ), dovecot 2.04, mbox format
The server have about 3.000 active users (unix users); /var/mail is about
100 GB; /home/Users about 150 GB
I read the docs and searched on the net, but still request hints for
planning the migration.

delete/archive old mail
Hi everybody,
I store user's mail in the old mbox format.
I have many scripts to manage users that works fine with mbox.
I use the very old Expire_mail.pl script to delete mail older than NN days
for selected users (nightly cron job). Still works fine with my CentOS
dovecot-2.0.16.
Now I want move the mail to a sort of archive folder instead of
simply deleting it from the inbox for some

new server
I am going to build a new box (2-3.000 users, 4-500 domains name (50-100

Is there any how-to or similar to follow for build an updated system?
(My current boxes are based on CentoOS 6.x using included Dovecot + PostFix .rpms)
I am thinking to CentOS 7.x + Dovecot + PostFix + RoundCube + Squirrel +

Is there a tool similar to pflogsumm for Dovecot?
I tried to find a similar tool for Dovecot, but couldn't. Is there such a
thing?
Also tried to hack a little the logwatch plugin, but I am not a per

Thanks, P.

Speaking about multiple DB ...
A my customer has a server (CentOS 6.x, dovecot 2.0.x, postfix,
Squirrel+RoundCube with vacation and password plug-in), with about 3.000
users (about 200 different domains), all defined as system users and home
as /home/mail/%user%
The system works fine. Its only additional interest is authenticating
users like user at domain.tld / password (maintaining also

mail check
Is there some simple script that parsing the dovecot.info.log can give me
a list of the mail checks for a user (better if reports also the type
(POP/IMAP), and result of the sessions (Ok/Fail/Error/...))?
