GSM / 3g channel bank
More than 60% of our outbound calls are now to mobiles, so the time has
come to whack in a gsm channel bank.
Does anyone have any preference of bank ? Do you use a PRI or VOIP
connection from the bank to asterisk ? Real-world experiences are sooooo
much better than marketing blurb ;)
We currently have a TE412P with a free socket, so we have a choice
either way. I am looking for up to 30 sims to be connected, and we are
based in the UK.
Any advice is gratefully received.
Thanks
Julian

booting usb stick
...and put it another PC and it boots fine.
What might I look for as to why the machine hangs at switching to new root?
Of course the machines are different. The one that does not boot is an
ebox 2300sx and
the one that does boot is an amd 4800+ with all disks unplugged except
the USB stick.
I am sooooo close.

Wireless newtworking in CentOS 5
Installed CentOS 5 on my Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop, hoping that it will
be easier to set up wireless networking than it was in CentOS 4.4. But
still sooooo difficult to get it working, mainly because there doesn't
appear to be a driver pre-installed for this wireless card ((Dell
wireless 1390 Mini PCI network card 802.11b/g). Do I still have to use
ipw2200 and what is this anyway? - I really don't understand why it is
so difficult to get wirel...

assigning PCI addresses with bus > 0x09
Hi,
My goal is to assign PCI addresses to a number of devices (network
interfaces, disks and PCI devices in PCI-passthrough) without delegating to
libvirt the generation of those values. This should give me more control
and for sure more predictability over the hardware configuration of a
virtual machine and consequently the name of the interfaces in it. I'm
using libvirt 4.3.0 to create

Re:Latest Echo changes
Hi,
I've tried the latest CVS Zaptel and Asterisk after following the Echo fix threads. But echo is the same if not worst.
Has anyone managed to alleviate their echo from these latest changes?

module-info vs pci.ids
Hello -
It's been sooooo long since I've tried hacking the kickstart
media to include an updated driver but I guess that time has
come again for me at least, getting an updated "igb" driver
into the CentOS 5.2 installation for a HP DL165G5p(I'm not
ready yet for CentOS 5.3).
Anyways, I had a pretty basic...

Code from famous RoR video?
Does anyone know where I could get text file with the code from the
famous video where they create a Weblog in 15 minutes -- The one that''s
here: href="http://rubyonrails.com/screencasts?
(I can''t just watch it here at work, and I''d like to avoid having to
re-type everything in any case.)
Thanks!

Shared folders with Centos-7 guest in VMware-10 using open-vm-tools
Hi!
Just wondering if anyone has this working ...
Centos-7 guest in VMware-10 host (on Windows-7 :-( )
Out of the box, shared folders and drag&drop do not work although X screen
resolution sensing is fine (ie xrandr reports the resolution of the host
screen as well as the peculiar screen options built-in) and I can Alt-Enter
to full screen quite happily.
I tried Fedora-22 too but did

[RFC] Late (OpenMP) GPU code "SPMD-zation"
There are tooooooo(!) many changes, I don't who's going to review sooooo
big patch. You definitely need to split it into several smaller patches.
Also, I don't like the idea adding of one more class for NVPTX codegen.
All your changes should be on top of the eixisting solution.

London (UK) Puppet Meetup 24th March (UKUUG social)
Various people have said they are going to UKUUG and I wanted to
remind people if they are about and want to discuss puppet, facter,
etc they can come along.
Entry is not restricted to UKUUG attendees, I''ll try and make myself
obvious by having some puppet related paraphenalia.

Re: assigning PCI addresses with bus > 0x09
...solution was to turn off IO space usage on the
pcie-root-ports, but you can't do that for conventional PCI buses, since
the devices might actually need IO space to function properly and the
standard requires that you provide it.

And if you do need more than 279 devices, do they all need to be
hot-pluggable? If not, then you can put up to 8 devices on each slot
(functions 0 - 7).

ajax insertion into a form
After an ajax insertion in the dom, it seems the browser don''t
refresh its knowledge of the page.
The source of the page is identical after the insertion, whereas the
display is correct.
The ajax insertion is used to add an input field. The added fields
are ignored by the submission of the form.
Isn''t it possible to do that, or maybe there''s a problem in my code

Rails Recipes Book: Authentication
Hi,
The user/login management system in Chapter 31: Authenticating Your
Users and Chapter 32: Authorizing Users with Roles of Chad Fowler''s
Rails Recipes looks reasonable and adequate. However, when I ran the
Chapter 31 code, I get the following error:

And I am not even given the chance to sign in; that is, the signin form
does not appear at all.
