Answering the nTh call ...
...an't
find it (why reinvent wheels).
Looking to do some testing sending anywhere between 50-200 calls to a
machine. I'd like a Snom/Polycom/whatever to pick up after the nTh call
where nTh is whatever I set it to.
exten => _X.,1,{at_N_amount_of_rings}
exten => _X.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN}@somwhere,45)
So as a script it would be something like: if call != 25th ; then go
elsewhere ; fi (make sense?) Where every 25th call or so would go
through, the others would go wherever, not important.

LLVM Stable
Hello fellow developers,
I wanted to follow a more up-to-date llvm version and saw the google/stable
branch that seems to be updated every two weeks or so. But it seems that
the last update of the google/stable branch is from 2016-08-15 [1].
Did it move to somwhere else and I am lookint at the wrong spot, or maybe
there is something terribly wrong with the current trunk?
Regards.

S100U on RH9
Hi,
I have been trying to figure out why the S100U is not performing very well on RH9..
Here is my thinking..( may be totally wide of the mark but here goes anyway)
I remember reading somwhere that the sound system used by RH has changed...
Does the S100U not depend on the sound subsystem??
So what I think is that the sound subsystem in RH9 and the S100U are not happy working together..
Does that sound valid? And how difficult would it be to fix apart from installing and older versio...

Question from a newbie on finding digium hosts
Hey all,
I have a client whose previous programmer ditched. I'm his webmaster,
and now he wants me to have an asterisk system set up for serial
number authentication...and I have a digium card from the previous
guy. Are there hosts that will set this up for me? ie, rack space
somwhere? Are there guides online I can look at?
Thanks

NAT: RTP Path Optimization
...but "Intern-2-Extern" doesn't work because Asteisk gives out
the private IP-Adresses of Int1/2
I defined
localnet=10.0.0.0/255.0.0.0 (Private LAN)
but this doesn't help.
Ideas, how to handle "Extern-2-Extern" (RTP bypass Asterisk)?
Do I have to adjust "nat" somwhere?

Speex Problem
...d set the codec between the branches to
speex and restarted asterisk on both machines.
When I try to call between the branches I get the following message:
[Oct 14 12:26:09] WARNING[23308]: chan_sip.c:3024 sip_call: No audio
format found to offer. Cancelling call to 42
I remember seeing a post somwhere along the way stating that the new
version of speex requires a change to the Asterisk code to link against
a new library or something, but I couldn't find the post again. Is
there something I'm missing that is keeping Speex from working?
Thanks,

RCOM Package
Hi list,
I just installed the rcom package and tried to read/give out some values
from/to Excel. Altogether it works great... but nevertheless I don't know
how the syntax works or in other words: "Which command needs which
parameters?"
Is there somwhere a manual about this package with good examples? I've read
the Package description... but there are not really good
descriptions/examples.
I know the following parameters/commands:
#Connect to the active Workbook
excel <- comGetObject("Excel.Application")
#Set the active sheet...

An interesting call path observation..
This is not really a problem just something I noticed in my testing..
When two or more Asterisk servers are connected by IAX2 trunks it does
not make use of any "shortest path" type system.. (maybe this is still
planned somwhere down the line, but may come in handy to those who have
multi asterisk installations)
Here is the setup..
UA1--- Asterisk1----[IAX2 Trunk]---Asterisk2---UA2

UA3 the result is that...

choosing icecast and creating my own streamer
...isation (in the worst case i can do that)
or may i use RTP? (didn't see that in the doc)
- i guess i would need to create my own liveice kind of application, that would support live mpeg4 animation feed. is looking at the source code of icelive, my best way to start?
maybe some developper doc somwhere?
- same thing I will need my own iceplay to be able to render my opengl, and synch with the audio. iceplay my best bet?
I installed liveice, icecast on linux and run sonique on win32. and i am happy :)
I am looking forward to use icecast
thanks for your help

Ok.

Sorry, but i've really a bit of confusion in this field... You forgot a
'not' somwhere in this sentence? ;-)
I've understood that 'sign or seal' mean SASL over TLS/SSL, and my
printer suport only SASL, so it is not 'sign and sealed'...

Outgoing spool file ignored
Hi list,
I'm using asterisk to send alerts via phone or fax, by using the spool
functionnality (writing files in /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing). The
system works, but sometimes a file in the outgoing directory is simply
ignored by asterisk (nothing on the cli); the spool file is correct.
It happenned only twice since the system is installed (about two
months), but since it is an alert

What am I missing?

net ads join fails
Hi,
i've got a problem joining a domain with samba 4.1.17 on freebsd.
Everytime I try it, the join fails with a core dump.
Debugging it, it seems that it is stuck on authentication. Kerberos
works, I get credentials, but if I try to join the domain, it fails.
The problem seems to be somwhere in this debug-output:
