Sieve & Public folders issue (2nd episode)
Hello Community, Getting back to my previous post, here a a complement: - Having enabled sieve, I can store mails and create folder under the recipient - Having enabled public folders, I can move mail into them using a client (eg Thunderbird); security is therefore ok (actually I gave full control to the user) eg Public/Newsletters/SomeCompany - *BUT* running a sieve script to store to

Windows ACLs on share
We are in the process of switching over shares from the old way of doing this to Windows ACLs: disable "valid users" "write list" etc and set ACLs via Windows Explorer ... And I struggle. I am asking for a way to "start ACLs from scratch". I ran "setfacl -b -R" on the dir on the samba server and did a "chown -R root:10513" to hand it to

Inbound SIP calls work, just not when making calls between extensions.
This is a problem that is completely stumping me, and my understanding of Asterisk dialplans tells me this should never be a problem. Moreover, this scenario works on Asterisk 1.4 but not 1.6. We have a customer with several Aastra 6731 phones. They want incoming calls from the PSTN to work and they also want to be able to call each other "internally" on a special non-DID number (like

IP Binding
Hi all, New to Samba here so please bear with dumb questions. I have a server that's currently running SMB shares off of device 10.0.0.1 on a private network. It has a second device, 10.0.0.2 that I would like to add to the device bindings for Samba. I've tried this in the smb.conf file but it doesn't seem to work. Here's what I tried: workgroup = SOMECOMPANY netbios

File locking problem
Hello everyone, I have a 50-client Samba installation here (version of Samba is 3.0.12). The problem is, that files are not locked correctly. The scenario is the following: 1. User A opens a word document file and edits it 2. User B tries to open the same file, too 3. Instead of getting a warning that the file is in use by another user (like it was when we had NT4), Word opens the file without

Proxy password questions
Hello All: I'm having a strange issue with the yum proxy settings. It is directly related to passwords containing exclamation points. For example, the following works fine in yum.conf: http_proxy=http://somentlmproxy.somecompany.com http_password=regularpassword However, if the password contains any exclamation points, it will not authenticate properly. E.g., a password such as

The use for an XML based metadata format
Daniel, these are all good ideas and worth progressing. However, it may be better not to merge too many goals in one format (MPEG-7 did that and ended up as a big mess). So, I suggest to start by structuring the types of things you want - then finding out which parts belong where into existing formats such as vorbis comment, Skeleton and CMML, and only then start to develop a new format. For
