Dovecot does not close connections

list and throughout the internet is to increase the number of maximum
userip connections. But this is not curing the problem, it is just

/someaccount 10 imap (25396 25391 25386 25381 25374 7822 7817
5559 5543 5531) (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)/
Now when I check these pids with

I find out that the oldest pid (5531) has a lifetime of already over 12
hours. Anyway I know that the clients that initiated the connections are

"hosts allow" address resolution
...ic.
As not each and every of our VPN users is to be allowed onto our
server, I thought about setting up some kind of dyndns client on the
outside machines that associates the dynamic VPN IP address with a
dyndns hostname, like that:
vpn-82-51.test.de --> 173.237.82.51
someaccount.dyndns.org --> 173.237.82.51
I then modified smb.conf (173.237.79. is our subnet):
hosts allow = 173.237.79. someaccount.dyndns.org
But alas, it does not work: I receive "connection denied" when I try to
connect to the server from the outside client machine. However, if...

Member server - group and user mapping with winbind

If I start smbd and nmbd on a member server, I can connect to a share
from a windows 2000 or XP client. If I look at the permissions on a

add users, I can browser users or groups from the domain but the

domain component, and I can set permissions.
However, if I start winbindd bef...

What to backup?
Hi All,
I am now working on a plan of what to backup from various servers that I have running
I run Apache, so httpd.conf and /var/www/html
I run Zimbra currently, so /opt/zimbra/store, /opt/zimbra/my.cnf and /opt/zimbra/db/

Can I simply write a bash script to tar.gz these areas, scp them and put it in a cron job?
Is there anything special that
