sip and pix
does anyone have a sip working through a cisco pix firewall? i can get the phone to register and the call to be negotiated, but as soon as the call is answered there is no sound and the call ends immediately. im sure this is due to the RTP negotiation being rejected by the pix. any helpful ways around this? right now my only solution is to put a small box outside the firewall and IAX the

surplus <p> tags.
...2. The combination of<p><img .... ></p> and the CSS code snippet p { text-indent: 1em; } causes the IMAGE to be indented 1 em. (presumably since it's in thefirst line of text.) This also adds an extra em of leading space to my headlings -- that I can live with. This is solveable by putting an additional css snippet in p img { margin-left: -1em; } (img doesn't know about text-indent. This is a hack, and makes for the potential of ugly side effects when modifying the css code -- something already filled with surprises. The ideal solution from my perspective is two mod...

Can wine be used to view a webpage online?
I am curious. There are online game sites tailored to work well with windows which do not work well with Linux. For example: http://www.pogo.com Some of the games work, but others crash such as say "word whomp." This happened to me in Fedora 10 and Ubuntu 10.10. Is there a way to open a website using java pop-ups like 'word whomp' in wine with Linux? I apologize for my

Possible Feature-wish - extended files-from
Hi (please CC me if you reply, Im not subscribed) I think I have a feature wish. Not sure, maybe its solveable in a different way, if so please point me to it. Background: Mirroring distributions, like Debian, takes a long time in the initial "Receiving file list" step, where rsync looks for files to transfer. Such scans can take a LONG time already, if you have large archives (imagine multiple h...

(hope you can read them), it builds file this "Verkn\201pfung". I can use this files from the sambaclient, but I can't access or delete this files out of Linux. I used client codepage = 850 Now I found out, that if I use the options

FQDN
Hi, I've a question about a FQDN VS Shorewall configuration: I'd like to install a firewall that should forward the web requests to different web servers (iis, apache, and so on...); all web sites are registered with the same ip to internic (eg. www.example1.com-->151.99.234.3-->apache-server, www.example2.com-- >151.99.234.3-->iis-server, etc...) so I'm wondering if I

Stopping services
I''m back to getting stuff to run as a Windows service, and am running in to a problem. My service (a Daemon ruby class) installs and starts fine, but when I try to stop it, I get: C:\workspaces\default\tahoe>ruby script\service stop script/service:77:in `stop'': An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request. Wrong permissions for $HOME
Hi, today me and a friend of mine spent several hours figuring out why ssh still asked for a password after we set up public key authentication. We have tried to understand the problem by reading 'ssh -vvv ...', but unfortunately the output was not useful. In the end of the day we have found out that sshd actually was logging this problem.... So that's for the context. Now, can you
