optim(method="SANN")
Hello List
I'm working on a combinatoric problem in which the object is to
minimize the badness() of a vector. I think this class of problem is only
soluble by optim() using method=SANN.
The badness() of anything is >= 0, and when I've found a solution with
zero badness, I want optim() to stop (carrying on beyond zero badness
cannot improve the solution). Efficiency is crucial here.
The ?optim manpage states

timer in R?
Hi all,
How could I set a timer in R, so that at fixed interval, the R program
will invoke some other functions to run some tasks?
Thank you very much!

Good things about CentOS 5; problem with flash in seamonkey [SOLVED]
For the interest of all concerned:
The 32-bit version of Seamonkey works perfectly with the flash plugin.
I haven't tested others yet, including the acrobat reader, but I have
much more confidence that problems encountered there will be easily
soluble.
Thanks to all who contributed, especially Jim Perrin, who gave me the
critical clue as to what was not working.

Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.1.2-1
Severity: normal
Hi, I was doing some experiments today with XL TOOLSTACK,
and found few problems when trying to do PV domU boot.
I was trying to run kfreebsd9 or linux-3.2 kernel in qemu using PV i386,
and with simple configuration without any disks, nics or virtual framebuffer,
kernel boots (and then kernel itselfs correctly fails with information

Here is the function to do my job

Howto install domU CentOS 5 directly on partition
Hi.
I am new to CentOS (Debian user) and I am looking for way how to install
CentOS 5 on domU in the way that I have it directly on dom0 LVM partition.
If I install it with virtual-manager then the installation program takes
that partition as a disk and then creates new partitions on it. I don''t
want it that way because I cannot then mount it from dom0.
Is there some way how to
