reducing I/O and system load
...as httpd or mysql
begin responding slowly (up to 10 sec for mysql queries which usually
processed in a small fraction of a second).
The reason is pretty obvious, but still are there any general
recommendations on how to solve or appreciably soften the situation?

error compiling the latest versions of rsync
....6.6 said "checking for broken inet_aton... no"
`./configure 2>&1 | grep -i aton` on 2.6.8pre1 said "checking for broken inet_aton... yes"
I'm using Trustix Secure Linux 2.2 with kernel 2.4 and glibc 2.3.2.
It a known/fixable problem, or is it my own problem?

trailing star/double star in --exclude
...of dir/ (and thus change access time
of files and directories) in any of these examples?
Here in list rsync users show both variants in their examples, on
practice I see no difference, but maybe there is a recommended (i.e.
more "ideologically" correct) one?
With the best regards,

[LLVMdev] writing LLVM bitcode interpreter in Fantom language
Hi all. I'm new to LLVM and pretty interested in it.
I want to write LLVM bitcode interpreter in Fantom programming language. Or
we can call it a virtual machine with LLVM bitcode as an instructions set.
I'm not sure what is more correct. Ok, we can say that I need to write my
own lli tool in Fantom :)
Fantom is a high-level language that can run on both the Java VM and the
.NET CLR.
