There appears to be some sort of a race condition when accessing a maildir directory for the first time with dovecot. I'm running samba4 from git (latest as of sep 1) on ubuntu 10.4. It's operating as a PDC, as well as hosting a shared drive. The last couple days I've noticed that my shared drives will appear as disconnected, and indeed trying to connect to the server times out. I want to switch away from bincimap, and I am having some trouble getting dovecot up and running.
