[LLVMdev] Linux-x86 Compatability
ISSUE: In Interpreter::getCurrentExecutablePath(), dladdr() is a
Solarisism. Luckily, getCurrentExecutablePath isn't being currently
used anywhere in lli.
ACTION: Wrap the method contents with #ifdef __sun__ ... #else return
""; #endif. If this functionality is actually desired, it would be more
portable to hack up main() to join getcwd() with basename(...

[LLVMdev] Linux-x86 Compatability
ISSUE: In Interpreter::executeInstruction(), _sys_siglistp is a Solarisism.
ACTION: Replace _sys_siglistp[signo] with strsignal(signo) which is more
portable, maybe POSIX?
PATCH: Apply from llvm top-level directory with "patch -p0."

It looks like under my linux box, the dladdr prototype is wrapped with a
#ifdef __USE_GNU
option... If so, perhaps the write patch is to add -DGNU-SOURCES (or
whatever that option is) to the makefiles? Can...

SMC Webconsole 3.1 and ZFS Administration 1.0 - stacktraces in snv_b89
I''ve installed SXDE (snv_89) and found that the web console only listens on https://localhost:6789/ now, and the module for ZFS admin doesn''t work.
When I open the link, the left frame lists a stacktrace (below) and the right frame is plain empty. Any suggestions?
I tried substituting different SUNWzfsgr and SUNWzfsgu packages from older Solarises (x86/sparc, snv_77/84/89,

Is there any "fake UPS" driver (and Solaris 10+ integration)?
Hello all,
I am a long-time user of NUT (since last millennium, or so it seems)
and beside Linux where I've started, I also integrated it with our
Solaris 8 and 9 servers' shutdown procedures - avoiding the possible
"hole" when the line power returns right at the bad moment when UPSes
and systems are already told to power off. In this case, they see no

readline doesn't work even thou cled=TRUE
Can anyone offer suggestion about getting readline to work on Solaris?
(v1.5.1)
When I use the up arrow or ctrl-p to try to repeat the last command
my session just beeps.
It appears that the .Rhistory file that should appear in my startup
directory
is not being created.
Thanks!
The screen shot below shows cled=TRUE and no .Rhistory file created:

[PATCH] Regression test portabilization.
Hi All.
Attached is a patch (against OpenSSH Portable -current) to portablize the
regression tests. It will also apply to OpenBSD's (with a couple of
rejects). They are based on work by Roumen Petrov and myself, with
contributions from Corinna Vinschen and David M Williams.
My goal is to have the tests work out of the box on as many of our
supported platforms as possible so running the

HVM Windows: disk image vs. zvol - which is better?
Hi everyone!
I''m planning to migrate a little firm''s Windows server to a HVM machine.
The test setup woks fine (it''s basically an MSSQL server tied pack of programs for an accountancy office), all programs can reach the mssql from the outside on the hvm windows.
If fact it turned out to be so good, that I''m even planning to simply copy the win image(s) to the
