ISSUE: In Interpreter::getCurrentExecutablePath(), dladdr() is a
Solarisism. Luckily, getCurrentExecutablePath isn't being currently
used anywhere in lli.
ACTION: Wrap the method contents with #ifdef __sun__ ... #else return

portable to hack up main() to join getcwd() with basename(argv[0]) to

ISSUE: In Interpreter::executeInstruction(), _sys_siglistp is a Solarisism.
ACTION: Replace _sys_siglistp[signo] with strsignal(signo) which is more
portable, maybe POSIX?
PATCH: Apply from llvm top-level directory with "patch -p0."

It looks like under my linux box, the dladdr prototype is wrapped with a
#ifdef __USE_GNU
option... If so, perhaps the write patch is to add -DGNU-SOURCES (or
whatever that option is) to the makefiles? Can you verify that

SMC Webconsole 3.1 and ZFS Administration 1.0 - stacktraces in snv_b89
...console only listens on https://localhost:6789/ now, and the module for ZFS admin doesn''t work.
When I open the link, the left frame lists a stacktrace (below) and the right frame is plain empty. Any suggestions?
I tried substituting different SUNWzfsgr and SUNWzfsgu packages from older Solarises (x86/sparc, snv_77/84/89, sol10u3/u4), and directly substituting the zfs.jar file, but these actions resulted in either the same error or crash-and-restart of SMC Webserver.
I didn''t yet try installing an older SUNWmco* packages (a 10u4 system with SMC 3.0.2 works ok), I''m not su...

Is there any "fake UPS" driver (and Solaris 10+ integration)?
...;t come back online.
This happens surprisingly more often than one would think ;)
The recommended solution at that time was to turn off services, sync
the disks and wait for the UPS to deplete - or reboot the OS after a
long timeout (15min or so). This worked like a charm for me on Linux
and older Solarises, where OS init was managed by scripts - where my
package installation could hack into.
Some time in the Solaris 10 (now valid for sol10, sol11, OI and its
other relatives) the OS lifetime management changed from scripts
to a compiled program (bootadm) integrated with SMF, which includes
a forced k...

readline doesn't work even thou cled=TRUE
Can anyone offer suggestion about getting readline to work on Solaris?
(v1.5.1)
When I use the up arrow or ctrl-p to try to repeat the last command
my session just beeps.
It appears that the .Rhistory file that should appear in my startup
directory
is not being created.
Thanks!
The screen shot below shows cled=TRUE and no .Rhistory file created:

[PATCH] Regression test portabilization.
...out of the box on as many of our
supported platforms as possible so running the tests can be a routine part
of an install.
This patch has been tested on Solaris 8, HP-UX 11.00, Redhat 8. Previous
versions have been tested by me or others on AIX (4.2.1, 4.3.3 5.1),
NetBSD, OpenBSD, Cygwin, earlier Solarises (2.6, 7) and Mac OS X.
If anyone wants to try this patch, you will need to apply it to an up to
date CVS tree or a recent snapshot (ie the last day or so):
$ cd openssh
$ patch -p0 </tmp/openssh-regress3.patch
$ ./configure && make tests

HVM Windows: disk image vs. zvol - which is better?
Hi everyone!
I''m planning to migrate a little firm''s Windows server to a HVM machine.
The test setup woks fine (it''s basically an MSSQL server tied pack of programs for an accountancy office), all programs can reach the mssql from the outside on the hvm windows.
If fact it turned out to be so good, that I''m even planning to simply copy the win image(s) to the
