I'm running Solaris 10 on a dozen SPARC boxes. I'd like to explore NUT for use with our snmp UPS, but I'm unable to complete the configure/make/install process. scrub completed after 1h9m with 0 errors on Tue Feb 17 12:09:31 2009 This is about twice as slow as the same srub on a solaris 10 box with a mirrored zfs root pool. Has scrub become that much slower? Solaris/NUT 'wall' behaviour
I have compiled and installed NUT-2.2.1 on Solaris 10 on my Sunblade 2000 and it seems to work very well, except that the behaviour of 'wall', which upsmon uses to report significant events, may differ on Solaris from other systems. On Sol10, wall writes the message *only* on the console, unless the "-a" switch is used. On a standard JDS (GNOME) system, there isn't normally a console window, so I never see the messages. Is this the same behaviour as elsewhere? The Linux man pages imply otherwise. Anyway, I've modifi...

Sol10u7: can''t "zpool remove" missing hot spare
I''m using Solaris 10u6 updated to u7 via patches, and I have a pool with a mirrored pair and a (shared) hot spare. We reconfigured disks a while ago and now the controller is c4 instead of c2. The hot spare was originally on c2, and apparently on rebooting it didn''t get found. So, I looked up what the new name for the hot spare was, then added it to the pool with "zpool
