Smalls problems
Hello,
I install a server with Samba and the smb.conf in the enclosure. I've
got 50 users.
For one user, the home directory is not accessible !
For one computer (Win98), the command netuse Z: \\server\public doesn't
work (letter in use !)
Have you got any idea about this ?
Eric

-P option fails
Hi,
It seems rsync no longer resumes partial transfers after a SIGINT
(CTRL-C). I tried the following:
% rsync -avzP ~/video/Gone_In_60_Seconds_-_DivX.avi 192.168.0.3:/backup/DivX

Gone_In_60_Seconds_-_DivX.avi

Permissions across servers
...d returns all the users and getent groups
returns all the groups. wbinfo -u and -g work as they should and net
groupmap list returns groupmappings consitent across all the servers.
If I use Windows security properties on XP however I get (Unix
User\User). Both the PDC and the member servers are soined to the domain
and have the domain SID in smb.conf. So the question really, is when
setting unix permissions on files on the member server, how do you
differentiate between UNIX and Domain users.
The closest I've found to a solution in the last two days was someone
with the same question wh...

Migrate a share from Mac-OSX to NAS ASUSTOR samba 4.4
Hello everyone,
I hope you are well. Take care of yourself.
I have the same problem as describe here:
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2014-December/187545.html
I migrate a file share from a MAC-OS environment. For its new storage
system, the company purchased an ASUSTOR NAS. This NAS works with an
operating system based on version 4.14 of the GNU / LINUX x86_64 kernel.
This NAS operates a
