a trojan is on your computer!
hi, I am from Norway and you'll don't believe me,
but a trojan horse in on your pc.
I've scanned the network-ports on the internet. (I know, that's illegal)
And I have found your pc. Your pc is open on the internet for everybody!
Because the smss.exe trojan is running on your system.
Check this, open the task manager and try to stop that!
You'll see, you can't stop this

Re: nazi spam in German over list address
It is mostly the Sober.Q worm, a new Sober variant that has come out
that is causing all of the trouble. Been getting quite a bit at work but
it has all been tagged as spam.

plot question
Hi,
I am new to R so forgive me if the following query is somewhat simple. I have a small tab-separated file with n records of glucose values, one record per day, seven measurements per day. It looks like this:
date sober no vm nm va na vs
20091229 NA 6.8 NA 2.7 11.7 2.7 6.2
I'd like to make a graph on which the glucose day curves are plotted

Wine-20040505 and vstserver
Hi list,
I'm currently trying to get an app running called "vstserver" on Fedora
Core 3.
I have installed wine-20040505 and wine-devel-20040505, and installed those
older versions, cause it is recommended not to use the newest wine version
in the README. I have found that most vstserver-users had good experiences
with version 20040505 of wine. I have tried others too, i always get

disabling php-cli
Hi All,
Don't know if this has been covered already, but I'd like to know if
there's a way to disable one of the features in php; php-cli. I've done
some googling and searching through the archives but haven't found
anything. The php manpage doesn't mentioned anything, nor have I seen
anything on the php site in regards to this. (hoping it's not something
as simple as

However I think it depends on other commits as I get an undefiend symbol
when applying jsut this commit to 0.6.0 release, so I guess you'll need
to cherry pick several commits to get this working (or just run the git
vversion!). I'm currently too drunk to work out what's needed so you're
on your own until I sober up or someone else points out more details :p

Puppet Nodes in DNS
Has anyone given any thought to using DNS for node information rather than LDAP? You see,
I already have all my nodes defined... in BIND ;-).
Perhaps something like:
foo IN A 10.178.10.1
IN TXT "puppetclass=<class_name>"
IN TXT "puppetclass=<class_name>"
.
.
.
Ad nauseam

Best RH/FC version for dvd rip?
Greetings:
I'd like to bring up a CentOS-3.3 system to use for multi-media purposes.
One of the packages I'm installing is dvdrip and all it's dependant
packages (libdv, libdvdcss, libdvdread, avifile, & transcode).
I'm hunting down the packages on freshrpms.net and I notice that there
are packages available for FC1, FC2 & FC3.
Question: Which FC version should I use

How do I default to "Folder View" in my custom KDE user profile?
Hi,
I'm currently busy tweaking KDE 4.14 on CentOS 7 to my needs. I want to
use it as a base for an enterprise class desktop. In my humble opinion,
CentOS' default KDE configuration is not very usable, so I created a
default user profile that looks more like what openSUSE looked like a
few years back.
Here's the little script I'm using to install the various configuration

q4wine first start
Hi,
I'm new to this forum.
I've installed wine and q4wine-0.120+r1-1.9 on SLED11 SP1.
Whereas the wine shell works OK - iexplorer and notepad are active,
I'm unable to make q4wine first launch- neither from the glass icon nor from GNOME terminal.
The terminal after the command:
me at linux:~> q4wine produces:
Code:
q4wine: symbol lookup error: q4wine: undefined symbol:

Wiki deuglification Part I
Hey guys,
I toyed around with the Wiki today to deuglify it a little bit. I used a
theme which is a bit of a "CMS" theme for MoinMoin and played around
with the logo colors.
The theme is based on the plsavez theme, which I like as it has a very
uncluttered interface for people who aren't logged in - they only see
some important interwiki links (FrontPage, RecentChanges and so on),

DocBook and XML
I think I can say I've been officially horrified into a coma.
During a routine rebuild after installing DocBook tools, I wandered
away.. and then back and after half an hour, the build was still
stalled on the same command: xsltproc.
Huh? I thought, has it crashed?
Strace revealed that it was making a bazillion connections all over
the net. Loking at the XML, it's clear why. Because

Custom desktop menu entries: weird behavior with menu categories
Hi,
For my client's desktops, I'm usually customizing the various Linux
desktops I'm installing. I'm using custom icon themes (Elementary),
custom system fonts (Droid Sans), and one of the things I also customize
are desktop menu entries.
Here's an example of what I do on a Slackware+Xfce-based desktop, so you
get the idea. Once all applications are installed, I run the

coxph and ordinal variables?
Dear R-help members,
Apologies - I am posting on behalf of a colleague, who is a little puzzled
as STATA and R seem to be yielding different survival estimates for the same
dataset when treating a variable as ordinal. Ordered() is used to represent
an ordinal variable) I understand that R's coxph (by default) uses the Efron
approximation, whereas STATA uses (by default) the Breslow. but we
