Snooker 147 JHC Software
...9;ve been trying to get my dad off windoze as it's rubbish! People are very funny about Linux. If they can't run their little windows apps correctly they go back to the darkside. I've skinned Ubuntu to look exactly like XP ( sad I know ) but that works. The only problem is getting his snooker game to work properly. This is the program: http://www.jhc-software.com/downloads.shtml Snooker 147. It looks like it runs fine ( which it does more or less) but the balls seem to judder around a bit when they slow down. I've tried so many things but it could be the way the program is written....

Make ssh-rand-helper fall back to commands when configured with prngd
Hi. I recently snookered myself: I build OpenSSH on an old box that didn't have /dev/random, but happened to be running prngd at the time for other reasons. Because I wanted to use commands, I configured --with-rand-helper, however configure found the prngd socket and built ssh-rand-helper to use it exclusively....

Authentication Issues
...rvers and one of them is the actual NIS authentication server. In the smb.conf html help file there is a statement under password server that says "Never point a Samba server at itself for password serving. This will cause a loop and could lock up your Samba server!" Looks like I'm snookered again, is there another way to get around this? Todd

Windows XP Home Edition
I am using Samba 2.2.3a-12.3 on a Debian server. All the clients but one are XP home edition. I have a share on the server which all workstations are able to see, view, write, edit, etc. After 15 minutes of inactivity the share obtains a red X over the share icon.
