Help!!! Windows XP Joining Samba 2.2.2 Domain
...this user and password I
receive the message:
The following error occurred attempting to join the domain

Looking through the logs I see that when I try to add the computer to
the domain using the guB~b1ns (root) user no entries appear in either
log.smbd or log.snickers (snickers being the name of the machine I'm
adding), if I try to add the computer using the user name seri I see the

R 4.0 for ARM processors
...I must be misunderstanding something. I figured this would be a slam-dunk because (1) R 4.0 is the latest release, and (2) Ubuntu 20.04 is an LTS release, and (3) ARM is a supported architecture, or so I thought.

PS - Yes, the ARM processors in question are a Raspberry Pi cluster. Don't snicker. Hey, it's got 16 cores, 16 GB RAM total, and a
terabyte of space. And it's paid for, no monthly fee.

Counterstrike 1.6 lag and full screen issues
Hey all, just upgraded to wine 1.2rc7 and am noticing an issue while playing cs1.6. I'll be playing in full screen mode when all of a sudden my regular xcursor will "pop-up" over my crosshair and intense lag starts up (FPS < ~5). It's almost as if something is competing with counterstrike for video output. Anyways, I've found that if I alt tab, then alt tab back, it fixes

Guidelines for CentOS Mailing List posts
Some people don't know how to conduct themselves on usenet
and mailing lists. Despite the mailing list guidelines
being crystal clear about no html posting and not top-posting
we have people still doing so. People still use text-readers to
access the mailing list so you could be denying access to these
people by flouting the mailing list guidelines.
This is an example of top-posting

Newbie Question
Hi! I just ran the first few Rails tutorials and I''m really impressed
at how quickly I was able to get something up and running.
I''m slowly emerging from the stone ages, and leaving my powerbuilder
behind ? yes, I know, keep the snickering to a minimum please! I
started into J2EE/STRUTS, but was quickly frustrated by how long it
would take to code anything but relatively simple applications, and
while I continue to work the java, I knew I had to find something else.
Enter RoR - wow! I''m really in, well if not love,...

P.S. I know there weren't any complaint about nVidia being "proprietary"
on this list, but several people on the Fedora lists snickered about it
not been open source as the problem. The reality is that if it was
community developed, it would probably be available in another
6-12 months (much like ATI's prior UtahGLX/DRI endeavors were for
newer cards).

Snom vs Polycom
Anyone got any subjective (!) views on the merits of these two ranges ,
using asterisk 1.4 ?
I need to supply approx 30 handsets to a new client, with the senior
managers (6) having some slightly more "managerial" phones than the base
phones which will be used for one line only.
TIA
Julian

Broken Call Screening
Sorry for the crosspost (this was also posted to
asterisk-at-uc-dot-org) but I haven't got a response.
I have a cell phone added to a queue as a local extension (member =>
Local/299). I want the cell phone to be able to reject calls to the
queue without the person sitting in the queue being hung up on, etc.
The way my dialplan is set up, the person hits 1 to answer the call

Mongrel 0.3.1 -- New Site/Runs Right
Hello All,
Yet another release of Mongrel proudly pushed out for everyone to review and
comment on. This time though, I''ve done up a little website that''s *way*
better than the plan Rdoc that used to stand in for the site like a
one-legged leper.

Network Interrogation
Small private networks are a necessary part of our business.
We also run some small networks with Internet connectivity
through firewall routers.? The smallest of these networks
has only a printer and a mix of five CentOS and Windows 7
machines.
We use a commercial protection product on the W7 system.
This product has worked well guarding against unwanted
software on the system for about three

puppetmasterd --mkusers
I''m trying to run puppetmasterd the first time with --mkusers. It
fails with the following error message:

Could not configure for running; got 1 failure(s)
Adding --verbose and --debug does nothing to improve the output. How
do I begin to debug this?

What FileSystems for large stores and very very large stores?
I was learning about the different FS exists.
I was working on systems that ReiserFS was the star but since there is
no longer support from the creator there are other consolidations to be
done.
I want to ask about couple FS options.
EXT4 which is amazing for one node but for more it's another story.
I have heard about GFS2 and GlusterFS and read the docs and official
materials from RH on
