Hi @ all, I have two samba-servers running perfectly! Now I configured a third machine which provides some backups. Since I brought it up in the network the windows client won't execute the netlogon-scripts... When I turn off samba-services on the backup-machine it works again. Did I miss something??? I do not know how many others are in this case, but I must use either floppies or tapes to transport the Samba product after I download it. Floppies are more convenient than tape because the tape medium is TK50 on OpenVMS and it is very slow. So I tried to run Impulse on my Ubuntu 11.04 laptop and it installed fine (or at least seemed to). When I tried to run it I got the working cursor for a bit then nothing.
