Need to Locate the GNU SMB Library Source Code
Hello,
My operating system is Solaris 10. I need the SMB Library Source Code,
which I need to rebuild. I also need the smbvalid.a library located in the
/smbval directory,. and the valid.h file located in the /include directory.
I presume both of these files are contained in the library source, or will
be generated as part of the rebuild.
I have looked on the www.samba.org website, and downloaded the latest

Actually I'm installing Documentum on Linux Debian. Few from the steps:
1. Obtain the GNU SMB library source code.
This is available at Samba sites on the Web.
2. Build the GNU SMB library.
3. Copy the smbvalid.a library from the /smbval directory to the
$DM_HOME/install/
external_apps/checkpass directory.
4. Copy the valid.h file from the /include directory to the $DM_HOME/
install/external_
apps/checkpass directory.

I hope some knowledgeable person may be able to spot my problem. I'm using
Authen::Smb-0.91 (based on the smbval library) to authenticate unix clients
against my NT4.0 PDC.
If I enter a valid user and invalid password, the NT box returns a failure.
However, if I enter a INVALID user, no matter what, the return code is SUCCESS.
This is output from Ethereal showing an invalid user being successfully
authen...
