p2p t1 with sangoma hw
...Since its a p2p t1 i dont believe i would be using pri but i am not sure,. i also am not sure if i would be using 1-24 kewlstart or 1-23 + 1 delta. I am also not sure if i need any extra configuration since they are p2p, do i need to set timing on one end? Also for the wiring, i have a verizon smartjack for the p2p t1 and i am running cat5e from the smartjack to the asterisk box, do i wire this like a standard ethernet cable t568b? or does it need to be wired differently? Verizon was going to install it but then they told me they DO NOT use shielded cable which i thought was needed, so i decided...

T1 Channel splitting PRI/data not working
...t does work if all 24 channels are assigned to PRI or data. I've always suspected this T1 line has some problem (large data transfers occasionally timeout, and I sometimes catch packet loss under high load), but I don't have any good ways of testing it. The phone company tests to their smartjacks and claims everything is great, but the smartjack is a long way from the equipment and I don't trust the guy that did the wiring too much. This line was once used for a frame relay circuit and repurposed, whereas the working line was installed as a bare point to point circuit from the sta...

T1, FoneBRIDGE, and dropped D-Channel
...about 20 people and the system works most of the time. If the machine has been freshly started up, this happens about once every other day. The machine has currently been running for over 36 days and I'm seeing several per day now. AT&T has run a stress test on the line from the CO to the smartjack and found no problems. The cable from the smartjack to the FoneBRIDGE is about 18" and I've tried a couple with no difference. I'm convinced this is interrupt related. When I initially commissioned this machine, the FB was connected to eth2 and I couldn't get it to link up with th...

Re: Shielding of T1/E1 cables WAS RE: PinoutsforT1/E1 crossover
...f page) So my question about a "real" T1 cable isn't specifically about a crossover cable, although the principle will still apply. I was talking about using Cat5/5e 4-pair cable (*not* a pre-made Ethernet patch cable, just Cat5 cable in general) to carry a T1 signal between the NIU/SmartJack to the CPE. (I could crimp my own or buy them, depending upon my specific needs. For a short jump I'd probably just fabricate my own.) So the question is really this: which pairs need to be twisted together in a "real" T1 patch cable? Since the two receive wires are on pair 2, and...

HDLC errors
I'm running Asterisk 1.2.26.1 svn rev 79171 on Trixbox 2.2. libpri 1.2.7 and zaptel 1.2.22.1. The hardware is a HP dl360 single cpu with a TE220B. The system load is below 0.10. I moved the server into production, with one PRI, on Friday. On that day we handled a couple thousand calls and I only saw one HDLC abort message. On Saturday half the calls and two abort messages an hour

PRI Down but zaptel lets calls through
Hi, i am having a problem with my point to point t1, which is being resolved and is a seperate issue. sangoma support has been a huge help and i am waiting on verizon to increase the signal output of the smartjack. But my issue is that in the meantime my fallover extensions arent working. Well they are on the CPE side but not on the NET side. The NET side still thinks its making calls, they obviously dont go through, and they dont return errors. I tried adding ChanIsAvail hoping that would detect the li...

low-level dump for PRI dchan debugging
I've been going back and forth with my telco for several days, trying different configurations to get a new PRI to come up. The bchannels are all up and the T1 is not in alarm status. The dchannel refuses to come up however. We've tried ni2, qsig, and now dms100 for the switchtype. The telco tech I've been working with says that he's been sending "reset all channels"

need working loopstart config - t100p
I am connecting a t100p to a b8zs, superframe, loopstart t1. Previously I've attached to e&m wink and pri lines with no problems; however I seem to be missing something. Should it be fxols in the zaptel.conf (smartjack to x100p) or fxsls? With e&m wink the dnis set was 100, so it was easy to make an extension 100; and it would answer incoming calls. How do you get a loopstart to answer incoming calls? Thanks, t o n y

Wildcard remote looping
...t? I am having some issues with a Point to point T1 line using zaptel ppp. This line gave us small problems when we had a pair of Cisco 2600's on either end but now with the zaptel ppp it is going down every couple of minutes for 15 intervals. The phone company says the line is good to the smartjacks but says they were unable to loop up the asterisk boxes at either end. (And there is a fairly long and untrustworthy cat 5 extension from the smart jacks to the asterisk boxes.) Thanks Mark Farver

Red Alarm TE110P
Hi! I'm trying to setup a Wildcard TE110P with a PRI in The Netherlands. I get a Red Alarm on the line. Is there any way of debugging this? I've tried some configs that should work but without success. Is there any way of telling if the cabling is correct or what else the problem could be? Thanks!! Remco

Red alarm on T1 PRI but not on zttool
...peatedly checked for proper clocking (to CO span 1) and this is also verified by zttool which shows sync source as "Card 0, span1" on all configured spans. The original Digium TE410P Quad card was replaced with a Digium T405P with no improvement. Telco has replaced both Adtran HDSL2 smartjack and repeater cards. Problem is independent of traffic and occurs late night, early morning, weekends or during load. Simulated load of CPU does not produce any failure and CPU load is otherwise negligible. The utility zttest has been run on the new T405P card with no errors. Zttool shows re...

Channels ID / Soft Hang Up
...ges from trixbox users because they ask kindergarten stuff... but you seem to be knowledgeable and I'll assume you chose trixbox to make your life easier when it comes to dealing with others regarding the PBX. I also assume the PRI is delivered via some sort of HDSL terminated at an NIU ("SmartJack") Which is a box that will usually have 2 or 4 positions for line cards and 2 or 4 jacks marked "CPE1" etc.... usually at the bottom. Usually also you can look through the window at the top and see various lights. What is between the smartjack and your T1 card? What sort and length...
