I do not love thee, kernel-3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64
...all the >> data dumped to the console during one results in NOT BEING ABLE TO READ >> ANYTHING BUT THE LAST 24 or less, mostly less, lines? >> >> mark, frustrated, removed that kernel > > Ah, the good old days of running a VAXcluster with hardcopy consoles. > Smartass. I never had that.... But, really, what's the point of dumping many, many lines of data... when it cannot be read? Why not assume that it's going to happen on a normal terminal, and dump no more than 25 80-char lines? So the admin might maybe possibly have a clue as to what caused it?...

I do not love thee, kernel-3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64
I've been having a lot of issues with video, for example. However, this one... I have a user with a Dell R730. I install kernel and kernel devel, and the rest of the full update, and rebooted. Nope. 100% kernel panic, right around the time it switches root. I even rebuilt the initramfs, nope. And speaking of kernel panics, has *anyone* ever considered that all the data dumped to the console

Re: “doveadm mailbox” command fails with UTF-8 mailboxes

Even if relative paths would appear to work, they might just as well break some day. Yet, all examples in the documentation use ~ which is a relative path.

httpd: "internal dummy connection"
On my Centos 2.5 web server, in /var/log/httpd/access_log, I saw several occurrences of: new.mydomain.net - - [11/Feb/2009:14:34:58 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 403 - "-" "Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) (internal dummy connection)" I have never seen anything like this before over many years of watching my logs. I presume it failed because my named virtual host

New Mongrel 0.3.13 Documentation: HOWTO Do Everything
Just a quick note for a few new features/fixes available on the Mongrel pre-release and a new document that covers nearly all the big features and configurations for Mongrel. First, the document is http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/docs/howto.html and it covers: * All the start command options including the fresh -G option to generate a config for -C. * The format and usage of the MIME type file (-m

Resuming the discussion of establishing an LLVM code of conduct

(maybe I'm mistaken?) It's all a question of perceived aggression. Some people will perceive you to be a burden, some won't even notice, most will be somewhere in-between. It's more dependent on the re...

Resuming the discussion of establishing an LLVM code of conduct
Greetings all, This has come up a few times, and I would like to resume the effort to establish an LLVM code of conduct. First and foremost, many thanks to Philip Reames who sat down with me several months ago and worked through a number of suggestions that I've tried to incorporate into an updated patch with the draft text: http://reviews.llvm.org/D13741 I think his updates plus a few

asterix and phone system
I am currently looking at putting together an Asterisk PBX system for my home office. One of the things I need is an expandable 2-line corded/cordless phone system. If I wasn't using Asterisk, I'd be getting one of these AT&T systems with 2 extra handsets. http://telephones.att.com/attui/shop/product_detail.cfm?itemID=ad53fe08-495e-41b6-b390-3aaa1c84cc40 So, the question is,
