I really love 5.3 in many ways but here're some unbelievable transfer rates,
after I went out and bought a pair of Intel GigaBit Ethernet Cards to solve
my performance problem (*laugh*):

Hi,
I am trying to setup a Samba server as a Primary Domain Controller, I have
added some user accounts and created some shares and I can access them from
a win XP client.
Now I would like the Samba server to be the PDC. I like to join the domain,
however when I set the domain in XP I have to enter a username and password
for domain binding. The message I recieve is:

Strange problem,
Trying to run a samba server as a PDC, I have created samba users and shares. I can access the shares however I am unable to connect to the domain. If I switch my settings on a win xp machine to make him a member of the domain then I am asked for a username and password. I have created a root samba user and if I connect like this user I get the following error:
