segfault with format.POSIXct()

Removing my local slmisc package from the loaded packages doesn't make a

RE gap statistic in cluster analysis
Has anyone implemented Tibrishani's gap statistic in R or S plus? If so I would greatly appreciate the relevant script file.
Any help will be much appreciated

Reducing the size of the sequence in seq.POSIXct() to 90000 doesn't
cause a segfault, so it seems to be a memory issue. Is this...
