Hi all... relative new guy.... I am a new rails developer but am working as hard as I can to become competent. What are your best practices for locking down an environment to develop projects in? History... before it went to heck... I have been working a project in Netbeans for a month. I did a gem update outside of Netbeans while I was installing ImageMagick and RMagick... I also had to remove one verson of ImageMagick to use the one compatible with RMagick.
