default font size
Hi,
since 20050628 (or slighlty earlier) the wine.config was obsoleted in favor
of winecfg.
However I can't find there a [font] section. How can I change the default
system font, or more precisely change the resolution, so the letters would
be bigger?

UDP transfer speed exceeding the ceil by about 4x
...ever, UDP traffic is
able to exceed the ceiling rate on 1:613 and it''s parents, and tops
out at about 4x whatever I set that ceil to (I tried several values,
and the UDP transfer rate always settled at about 4x the ceil).
It manages to throttle TCP traffic just fine. ICMP exceeds the ceil
slighlty, but not enough to really worry me (about 3%)
I''ve read through the documentation several times, but I don''t see a
whole lot. I also tried messing with the quantum, burst, and cburst,
but that didn''t really help.
If anyone has any other ideas of what to try, i''...

Very serious performance degradation

I''m running Opensolaris 2009.06, and I''m facing a serious performance loss with ZFS ! It''s a raidz1 pool, made of 4 x 1TB SATA disks :

R2WinBUGS results not different with different runs
Hi All
I dont know if anyone else has noticed the same thing, but with 2 subsequent
runs of the same syntax, I am getting exactly the same results. I was expecting
that results differ slighlty, say in the 4th or 5th decimal place.
Is this a specialty with R2WinBUGS? Does it have something to do with the seed
value? Isnt the seed value reset everytime I restart winbugs?

switching database dynamically based on incoming request
So I have this idea to reduce code replication in our rails setup.
Currently we have our rails app serving two distinct sites, soon to be
three. At the moment we check out a separate set of code for each site,
and configure it by adjusting the database setting and some config files
that pull in separate style sheets.
To remove this replication I''d like to have a single codebase, but
