Failure to boot from zfs on Sun v880
...180c000 0000000001836800 syncing file systems... done skipping system dump - no dump device configured rebooting... It then cycles the reboot and panic until I pull the disc and reboot continues from the original boot disc. Any ideas why mounting root on zfs is apparently not supported? - -- Al Slater -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (SunOS) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkl4QTcACgkQz4fTOFL/EDZr7ACfQEAB3jMDuU/zh2u9UWu0n8f8 7RAAn0TtX94ZIs4nb+ybY00PJCw4a+0e =Rq9O -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Dovecot won't stay running
This weekend I upgraded my OS from FC4 to FC6. At the same time I updated Dovecot from 0.99 to 1.0.0. Now, dovecot periodically shuts off. It will run fine for several hours then just dies. Right now my solution is to run a cron every 5 minutes to see if it?s still running, and if not, re-start it. I?m also having trouble finding any sort of meaningful logs to tell me what?s going on. dovecot under attack
Hi, I?ve posted this before but no one was able to help. I can?t figure out what they are trying to do, and if I should be concerned. I am running dovecot version 0.99.14 on Fedora Core 4. It appears that my dovecot server is under attack. This morning in my system e-mail I saw this: dovecot: Authentication Failures: rhost= : 23431 Time(s)

...bout Debian Buster packages in Dovecot community repos? We would greatly appreciate! Soon going live with two rather big Dovecot servers and would prefer upgrading them to Buster before. I will definitely bow my head and look for some donation button! Hi, Newbie to Dovecot and IMAP in general. The system in question is RH 9, Dovecot 0.99.11, Maildir, accessing mail with SquirrelMail, Thunderbird, Kmail, Mutt, Entourage and Mail.app. I've set up the maildir for users in ~/Maildir. Inside that I have other folders, .Sent, .Drafts, .Trash, .Junk, .MakeJunk, .MakeGood. ~/Maildir itself has the cur, new, and tmp folders, but I note that there

What are they trying to do here?
Hi! I?m new to the list, and I?m not really having a ?problem?, but I?m seeing something in my log files that I wonder if I should be concerned. I?ve been using Dovecot (dovecot-0.99.14-8.fc4) on my Fedora Core 4 (kernel 2.6.17-1.2142_FC4) machine from quite some time. For the last few days, I?ve been seeing this in my daily ?Logwatch? e-mail: dovecot: Authentication Failures:

What is so hard about Rails deployment?
Recently there has been a lot of fuss about the ease of Rails deployment. People made various claims, such as "I''ve deployed PHP, Java, (insert something else here) and Rails. Rails is by far the most painful." and "Java deployment (with Tomcat) is easier." I have no experience with Java deployment. But I have a friend who has worked on several high-end software
