oplock problem on NTUSER.DAT
...oplock break in file mdv/NTUSER.DAT I did not set any option regarding oplocks in my smb.conf, I'm using the defaults in this regard. Can I work around the problem by using some particular smb.conf options, or is it an unavoidable Win2000 client problem? Thanks. -- Ciao, Marco. ..."Skylarking", XTC 1986

Read-only folders and WinXP
...some directories which are periodically set to read-only from the Linux side and need to be changed to writeable by users using the clients. It works fine on Win2000, but WinXP is driving me mad. Any clues? Can anyone confirm that their WinXP behaves the same? Thanks. -- Ciao, Marco. ..."Skylarking", XTC 1986

Auto Data in the ISLR Package
That probably works in this case, but it would cause grief if another car make had "ford" somewhere inside its name e.g. "bedford". Safer general practice is Auto[Auto$name %in% c("ford", "toyota"),] or similar using subset(). -pd > On 17 Dec 2017, at 09:10 , Eric Berger <ericjberger at gmail.com> wrote: > > myAuto <- Auto[

Permissions
Hi Group, I set up samba3.0 to work as ADS-Member-Server. I created a share called /test and chown group to gg_test to it. Access to share works without any problems. I also can add files and directories to this share. When I now make ln -l, the files I added got the group-permissions "Domain Users" and not gg_test, as I expected. Do someone know a solution? Thanks in advance.
