How to use * to simply skim off callerid (UK)?
Hi all,
I'm wondering how I could go about placing * into an existing office PBX
system so as to capture callerid for further processing via AGI into an
intranet app.
I've already got the AGI scripts set up for what I want to do and have
tested using IAX2 peering, however I have no knowledge of the target
environment as yet, so would like to know what do I need to look out for

commercial software products like Quantum or Wincross.
Before i'm beginning to fight with coding - is in the mailing-List anybody
doing something similar in the past and have a good starting point
and/or suggestions for me ?
My purpose ist to define for a dataset headers (i.e. sex,age-groupes..)

Back to apcupsd
...and disconnecting the USB
connection. I brought down and up the service, no joy.
Finally, after googling, I found a *completely* undocumented way to start
apcupsd, that a few years ago someone was told to try, so as to log
debugging info, to send to a developer:
apcupsd -d1000 -T
I've just skimmed the man page, and the online docs, and there is *no*
mention of either parm. I found nothing in the logs.
However, when I kill -HUPped it, and restarted the service, the USB stuff
had stopped. Ok, one problem down.
The change battery light's still on. I'll see if it still is in the
mornin...

Certificate system
Hi all,
Can anybody inform me wether the "RedHat Certificate System" or
actually a CentOS equivalent is available for CentOS.
Just skimmed on a download site through the RPM's for 5.3 and I couldn't
find it.
According to their pressrelease, it the code should be gpl, allthough I
can't find any rpm for RH, FC or Centos.
It seems that this is one of the few CA-packages for large scale
deployment of certificates.
Only altern...

[LLVMdev] Proposal: stack/context switching within a thread
I'm very interested in seeing support for stack/context switching in LLVM, if only for prototyping language ideas. I'm particularly interested in mechanisms that would make it possible to implement full asymmetric coroutines as described in "Revisiting Coroutines" (Moura & Ierusalimschy, Feb 2009 TOPLAS). From skimming the thread and looking at the llvm-stack-switch wiki, it

Please recommend a DVD writer for CentOS 4.1
Hi.
I need to install DVD writers in a CentOS box as part of a backup setup.
I want as little fuss as possible both with HW recognition and
functionality. Can any of you recommend a vendor/product ?
Performance of the drive is not an issue. I get confused looking at all
the "+/-RW +R double layer yada yada" when skimming the hardware lists..
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

[LLVMdev] Register Spilling and SSA
Hi
I just stumbled upon this paper. While i just skimmed over it it seems as if
the authors say that their algorithm is more efficient than the llvm 2.3
algorithm? So i thought that might be interesting?

[LLVMdev] Good book for backend implementation?
Can you recommend any good book or reference for backend implementation? I skimmed some compiler books but it seemed to be more about front-end, parsing, optimization etc.
Would you mind suggesting some books containing more about backend?
Thank you.

[LLVMdev] [RFC] OpenMP Representation in LLVM IR
...on mine, by Sanjoy
> (http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2012-September/053798.html)
I read this proposal quickly. I don't understand why we need
intrinsics. Won't calls to runtime routines work just fine?
Ah, Sanjoy had a link to your proposal in his message.
Again, I only skimmed the document, but I was left with the question,
"why not just make calls to runtime routines?" What is the reason for
the "paralleliation metadata?" It seems to me this implies/requires that
LLVM have knowledge of parallel semantics. That would be very
unfortunate....

restrict network access
Hi,
I have two pc using centos 4, these machines need only access to the
(big, class b) local network. Because of security reasons the network
access should be restricted to this local network - mainly the users
of these pc should not be able to access webpages outside of the local
network. My problem is, that I have no own centos repository and
therefore these two pc need access to the

Rails in Dr. Dobbs Journal ?
Hi,
I''ve read that Dr. Dobbs Journal''s last issue has a cover article about
Rails titled "Ruby On Rails - Java''s Successor?". Can''t find anything
about it in http://www.ddj.com
Does someone have the paper edition and can confirm that, and tell
how the article looks like, and so on.
Thanks,

Ambisonics und OggPCM
Hi,
this message is a cross-post to the Sursound and ogg-dev mailig list.
The developers on the ogg-dev list are defining the Ogg/PCM format and
on Sursound list there discussion about Amisonics file formats recently.
I have not been able to follow both disussion, just skimmed through. But
maybe you can work together to bring Ambisonics into Ogg/PCM? :)

[LLVMdev] Heads up! Planning to remove old vector shuffle lowering this week...
I'll be skimming the PRs to see if there are any really critical
regressions, but so far it looks pretty good.
If you are actively disabling the new vector shuffling and have some PR
that blocks you, please reply here. Later this week, the flag will go away
unless I hear strenuous objections. There is a really staggering amount of
cleanup and tidying that needs to take place and can't

Running LaTeX dvi previewer on MacOS X
Several people have given great advice on how to successfully use X11 on
Mac to so we can use the dvi previewer to view latex() output from
Hmisc. Now after a version upgrade of X11 and X11sdk we are getting
lots of crashes. I noticed a Mac dvi previewer with an executable
stored as /Applications/TeX/TeXShop.app/Contents/MacOS/TeXShop
Can we bypass X11 problems and point Hmisc to this

a few questions
Ok, I think I see. The xslt files are kind of a template which tells
icecast how to format the xml file that is the admin interface? Where
can I get either an example xslt file or information on how this works?
I didn't see details in the icecast docs. I have now skimmed the
information on xml.com, but don't I need to know what xml tags icecast uses?
Thanks for the help,
Richard
