R on Sharp Zaurus 5500?
For what it is worth, here are my experiences. When I first got my zaurus I compiled R version 1.4.0 for the it. It took some time to do, but managed with the skiffclusters at familiar.org. (libf2c was the hardest part). Compilation should be easier now that there are onboard compilers but I haven't tried. I thought this would be neat to have in the classroom. ...When cross-compiling it's probably fair enough that the configure script can't work out what the endianness should be, however the same thing happened (WORDS_BIGENDIAN not defined) when compiling on an ARM machine (one of the iPAQ skiff cluster machines. XScale realtime encoding possible?
Hi all, I've got a 400MHz XScale-PXA255 board, and I want to stream voice from it over a network connection at 28.8baud. This calls for a capable voice encoder which can encode at about 24kbps. I was damn happy when I found Speex and said goodbye to MP3 :) However, i'm still a long way from realtime encoding using speexenc, is this possible? Using the fixed point math option in
