Hi,
(Shamelessly Cc'ing Ben Skeggs as he authored the offending commits)
Am seeing some graphics corruption on nouveau with my 8600 GT consisting of odd
black or white speckles on some widgets.
It's especially noticable on the folder list of the Claws Mail mail client, but...

Atomic modesetting + DisplayPort MST
...As the atomic modesetting transition is basically a rewrite of the KMS
portion of the driver, I would be very grateful for any additional
testing that people could provide (even as simple as just booting and
making sure you get a display is valuable).
There's a Linux tree at
https://github.com/skeggsb/linux/tree/linux-4.10, and the code also
exists in my usual development tree[1] on the master branch (which is
currently based on Dave's drm-next tree for Linux 4.10).
There's another branch (devel-kms) in the same repository, which is the
same code on top of what's currently Linux 4.9...

thanks, I tried, see below. This raises another question: where does
nouveau development take place? In a tree based on the linux kernel
(such as the above repo) or in some dedicated module-only repo like
skeggsb/nouveau?
I manually "rebased" the last five commits from the "runpm_fixes" branch
of the repo above onto skeggsb/nouveau, which applied w/o conflicts.
Results below are for a nouveau module built that way.

FERMI clocking status and help
...and am wondering how to
start?
I have watched a few videos in particular the XDC2014 Project ReClock
by Roy Spliet.
Where is the current FERMI clocking code? My base kernel just gives me
failed to write when I echo to /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/pstate. I've
downloaded the nouveau linux tree from skeggsb/nouveau and built the
4.14 kernel branch and I still get a write error saying function not
implemented. Is there no clocking support at all for FERMI cards?
I'd like to try and help with supporting FERMI cards but not sure on
how to begin. Any pointers or help is much appreciated.
Thank you

nouveau_class.h
So, with all the nouveau_class.h changes lately it's become rather
difficult to keep libdrm synced up with a particular mesa version.
This is much like what happens when we break our kernel ABI, but on a
far more regular basis so it has a larger impact.
I'm proposing we drop nouveau_class.h from libdrm again, and move it
back to the ddx and mesa trees where it can be updated at the same

Display broken after resume from suspend
Hi Joshua,
Not a fix for your issue, but Ben noticed this (and fixed it):
https://github.com/skeggsb/nouveau/commit/024bda7d2b0c3b0731433d60a494c78ab58cb216
which is what causes us to even try 540MB/s link training. However
with this fix applied, it'll just give up faster. I'm told eDP is
generally a single lane, and you're trying to get more than 270MB/s.
So ... the question is ... w...
