Variable Scoping = Root Canal
...ferent aspects of a node, being physical location, operating system, and function. If I try and do this with classes, I find that variables set in a class included from a node, are not visible to other classes included from that node. node ''node1.fr.xxx.com'' { include facility::sjc include ldap::client } In this example, variables defined in facility::sjc are not visible in ldap::client (in this case, it would be the IP address of the local LDAP server). Another approach is to do everything with node inheritance, but in order to model these three functions, you end up wit...

[LLVMdev] June 2007 LLVM Developer's Meeting
For those of you coming from out of the area and who may not be familiar with the bay area. TRAVEL: The closest airport is San Jose International Airport (SJC; 10 miles away). There is also San Francisco Internation Airport (SFO; 43 miles away) or Oakland (OAK; 49 miles away). IMHO, I would choose SJC, then SFO, and lastly OAK, depending upont he prices. HOTELS: The Cypress Hotel (http://www.thecypresshotel.com/) is very close to the Apple campus. It...
