The end goal is to have Asterisk play the speech files "temperature" "sixty" "five" "degrees" or the equivalent non-English files per the channel's current language setting. Thank you. simple dialplan trick I can't figure out (smdi, mwi substitute)
...is where the problem lies... After the intial call is ended the process is ended and the voicemail notification string "#641299" is never connected. Can anyone let me know if there is a way to do this. Or even better, a way to poll voicemail to see when a message is recorded, say every sixty seconds or so. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Just got a call from Ebay's unwired buyer and "The Voice" is Allison Smith. Adoption is wide but who is willing to give away their competitive edge (although ebay doesn't really have any real competition). Thanks, Steve

The Big Plunge
Hola folks, After a few years of slowly phasing in various Linux and BSD platforms, the company I work for is willing to take a hard look at replacing its existing Windows NT domain controllers with a Linux/Samba combination. We only have about sixty people in our main office, but most of my experience is with smaller deployments. I'm not looking for step-by-step instructions, that's obviously my responsibility to figure out. ;) I'm looking for success stories - those of you who have successfully migrated a Windows NT domain to S...

Generating abnormal returns in R
...;,quote=T,sep=",", na = "NA", dec = "." , row.names = F,col.names = T) Now I need to make a market model in R so i can generate abnormal returns from these stocks. As market index I would like to use the GSPC. I also need to consider abnormal returns calculated over a sixty-trading-day window. Can this be done in R? Is it difficult to write this code? My hard drive on a Dell Latitude keeps being accessed every 5 seconds for a couple tenths of a second. Is there a way yo shut this off. I suspect it might be related to journaling? Thanks in advance. -- David I. Sommers, Ph.D. Kensington, MD

slow browsing problem
...when I open my samba (3.0.27a) shares from windows (XP, SP2). I see a lot of consecutive directory opening. Process Monitor seems to suggests that windows is being stupid about alternate data streams: it tries to create directoryname:{4c8cc155-6c1e-11d1-8e41-00c04fb9386d}, fails, and tries another sixty-ish times before failing and doing the same with every other directory entry, which can add up to seconds in terms of time. It seems that ADS support is planned for future Sambas, but in the meantime, does anyone know of some workaround, server-side or client-side? Or is this caused by another is...

Feature request: new LISTNUMBER() function along SayNumber()
Hello, SayNumber() app embeds a smart logic to play numbers according specified locale. For example, SayNumber(71) would play files "sixty", "and" and "eleven" in french. If I'm not mistaken, if I had to set a dialplan variable with the file list SayNumber would play for a given number, I would have to somehow duplicate SayNumber() logic. What would you about adding a new LISTNUMBER() function that, wit...
