...ake PSTN calls it sounds like the person at the other end is immediately rejecting the call although I know this is not the case. Firstly, I'm absolutely sure that the PSTN gateway is working because I can make outbound PSTN calls with the same SIP account using other SIP clients (Empathy-SIP, SIPDroid) from the same LAN. However, when registering the same SIP account using Asterisk from OpenWRT all PSTN calls fail. Inbound calls from PSTN numbers also fail while calls from other SIP clients on the same server work fine. Thus, I'm fairly confident the problem is with my Asterisk configuration...

All, has anyone any experience in using Wifi smartphones as SIP clients? Does this work properly? What models/brands are optimal for this (in terms of ease of use, battery life etc)? Thx!! B.

...nking that, I can give solution like selling a server which has Asterisk over it. AFAIK, Asterisk can handle VIOP calls. Now system will load some GUI application from there he can add remove users. Now at the same time I want to give small device which has Wifi + LCD (for video) + Android + webcam+Sipdroid or IMSdroid. China can make such device in less then 100 dollar. now, every customer will be given with a unique number of video calling. So I am thinking for selling such Office-Videotelefony solution based on opensoure and open standard. this is one of the many idea which i am trying to explore....

Hi, I created a extension in Asterisk, the extension has been configured in Android softphone 3cx. When I tried to call from Andorid phone to some other IP extension which is registered in Asterisk, I am not able to hear the voice, when I check the asterisk log or wireshark there is only one way RTP traffic, from Android I am connecting to Asterisk via 2G GSM network.
