Issue with SIP inter-op
Hi All,
I'm trying to connect to a SIP carrier who never connected with Asterisk.
I managed to connect with a sipura phone or a grandstream, no problem.
When I configure asterisk, I'm able to send out calls to the carrier no
problems,
however, receiving calls doesn't work, and I keep getting the following
messages:

Hi,
How do I specify a codec to use for a SIP call?
IE.. If I'm doing Dial(SIP/blah) for some reason the call is
connecting using the codec at the bottom of my allow list rather then
top (G711u)... and I'd like to force it to G711u if possible.

Forced Ping or re-registration process for SIP devices or accounts/lines
Sometimes it happens to me that my remote SIP devices become incapable
of receiving calls. This problem is easily fixed powering the hardware
on and off, or reloading the application (when it is a softphone).
I wonder if I can force that procedure from the SIP/Asterisk server
