Need Help in a Combinatorial Optimzation Problem
...ts.
Now my problem is to construct a code which will take all possible product
combinations following the above rule so that ROI is maximized. Note that
we have ROI for each product and each product have many segments so ROI is
in fact available for each segment within a product. A customer can be
simulteneously in any segment in any product. That mean if product 7 has 20
segments and product 5 has 30 segments a customer can simulteneously belong
to segment #19 of product 7 and segment # 29 of the prodyct 5.
Goal is to find product combinations and target customers such that the ROI
is maximized. A cust...

Grandstream CFG file generator
I've just finished a general purpose configuration utility for the GS
phones:
1) Generates files from scratch (using MAC), from HTML config listing,
or by directly downloading from the phone.
2) Does multiple simulteneous edits.
3) Can reboot as many or as few phones at a time as you like.
I would like to offer it to the list, but there are 2 issues:
1) I want to GPL it first, if possible. Problem is I am not sure
exactly how to go about this.
2) I don't have any means to distribute the files (other than...

Is there real benefits on a SMP machine for Asterisk?
Hi list,
I'm now considering to buy a new server for an Asterisk installation, since
I've been kindly
advised<http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2007-October/198146.html>not
to use an old server for a mission critical app...

Can I create multiple sockets and listen on them in parallel.
I currently have a setup which is postfix -> dovecot via lmtp over a
unix socket. The socket is located at
/var/spool/postfix/private/dovecot-lmtp
I am calling dspam as a milter from postfix.
However I am struggling with getting dspam knowing the correct user for
the incoming mail, because after its been through the milter, the
virtual alias maps etc end up turning it into my

[asterisk-dev] How to get to 10.000 open calls
# moving to -users as this belongs there.
It is a nice idea to run several Asterisk processes simultenously, it
will defineately help with multithreading. However I would suggest
trying less instances - that would perhaps give greater benefit, as
Asterisk has it's own threading. For example 8 instances of Asterisk /
4 instances.. However, in this case - if You go for splitting
everything up,

Samba -> WinXP: slow transfers, partial solution
...er where Samba is installed
using any other protocol (such as HTTPS or SCP) is also at normal speed.
2) CPU is at almost idle level both at client and server, so it's not
the issue.
3) If there is any other network activity, transfer speed is increased
up to normal level: f.e. doing two simulteneous transfers from Samba
server to WinXP client gives 5Mb/s at each transfer, as expected.
4) Running tcpdump on server while the transfer is performed improves
transfer speed in about 1.5 - 3 times, but still not to the normal
speed.
5) Playing with "socket options" does not give any...
