Hardware Recommendations for Junghanns card QuadBRI PCI.
Good afternoon,
I have to develop an Asterisk system in Spain that can support up to 8 simultaneos ISDN calls (4 BRI), initially only 6 simultaneos calls.
I have been looking into VOIP-INFO and I found that the Junghanns card QuadBRI is a very good option. But when I look for a server to develop the system, the information is a bit more confuse.
Any one have experience with this card? Which se...

Samba performance
...ver accessed from Windows 7 terminals (samba 3.6.0rc1):
Read (1 terminal copying from samba fileserver to local disk 1000 files 8 MByte
each): 60 MByte/s average
Simultaneous read (4 terminals each copying from samba fileserver to local disk
1000 files of 8 MByte each): 70 MByte/s average
Note: Simultaneos read speed is measured adding the size of all transfered files
and dividing it by the time taken to transfer these files.
I will appreciate any feedback about the results we are getting and advice on
how to improve this.
Thanks in advance

Samba with 2 NICs
Hi everybody.
I upgrade samba2 to samba3 in last month, I installed version 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.
But I have one big problem, I have two NICs that I use to
balance/redundant (timming) that can not be enabled two simultaneos,
if I do then win95 and win98 can not logon to network/domain.
If I disabled one NIC then win95/win98 can logon normally, if enable
two NICs then only Windows XP can logon.
I try to put in smb.conf :
#interfaces = 192.168.1.2/24 192.168.1.3 127.
interfaces = eth0 eth1
But the same proble...

High speed traffic filtering
Hi;
First, sorry if this question is mostly netfilter related, than lartc,
but I think you guys may have a your opinion about this.
I''m using Linux 2.4.x with netfilter packet filtering / NAT on our
front-end firewalls (P500 with 1Gb RAM), which are filtering traffic
going to our Public Web Sites.
The traffic is growing very fast since several months.. The average

Dear All,
Hi! I am using a samba server and I am trying to limit the number of
simultaneos user connections, e.g., the user is limited to logon in
only one machine each time. Does any body knows how can I do that?
Thank you very much!
