Hello, I have another question as to what we need to use with our stations, if Icecast is what we need. We will be simulcasting three stations through DSL. No one will be accessing this but our stations. We will put out our programming from the main office, hook up a computer at three stations to receive the feed and put it out on air. I just thought of something: Given the maximum supported network packet size, and the minimum number of channels (probably stereo) for a FLAC broadcast stream, it should be possible to calculate the absolute longest time that a single network packet could span. Once you know that time, you could simply double it, and then make sure the streaming client always buffers up at least that

Hello again No replies regarding memory requirements! I have an idea to provide 1000's of streams without the requirement of 100's of source PC's, and perhaps without even requiring Icecast at all.
