Tcp listen limit.
...Please, someone confirm if i'm right. if i'm wrong, please forgive-me.

I've developed a little tool to stress test tcp connections.( Sending
syn and answer ack-syn ). that simuates a real tcp connection. (
http://www.hostname.org/fake_connect )
And i notice that severals programs have a little tcp ( listen
backlog? ) limit.
One of these program was OpenSSH. With this i can cause a temporary
DoS on SSHd preventing any user to log-on. ( sometimes the real
connection is clo...

hi there!
hi there!
how u doin?...hope fine.
look, i've a difficulty in simulation especially for the bayesian analysis
using R. Using the famous Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method,
Methropolis hasting algorithm i want to simuate different distrbution like:
1/ Weibull-exponential
2/Gamma-Gamma
3/Poisson-Gamma
4/Normal-Normal
5/Normal-Gamma
6/ Negative binomial - Jeffrey's prior
Especially, i

[LLVMdev] Control Data Flow Graph (CDFG)
Hi John,
My project is somewhat inbetween, but closer to the latter.
If you are doing something related to synthesis, have you checked
xPilot from UCLA? Search "llvm" in this paper
<http://www.icims.csl.uiuc.edu/~dchen/xpilot-TechCon2005.pdf>
Anyway, thanks for the information! :-)

[LLVMdev] i80 data type

it may be created by the sroa (scalarrepl) pass which sometimes introduces
such registers when 10 bytes are being loaded from memory. Why do you want
to remove it?
Ciao,
Duncan.

hello,
i am new to R and trying to calculate the beta coefficient for standard linear regression for a series of randomly generated numbers. I have created this loop, but it runs really slow, is there a way to improve it?
#number of simulations
n.k<-999
#create the matrix for regression coefficients generated from #random data
beta<-matrix(0,1,n.k+1)
e<-matrix(0,tslength,n.k+1)

Expected transfer rate of samba, SATA over gigabit to SATA
What is a good transfer rate to expect when writing from Windows XP/Vista to
a samba network share in the following situation?
* New client. Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 with 4GB memory, and Intel gigabit NIC.
* New server. HP XW8400 with (currently) a single 5335 Xeon with 4GB
memory, and integrated Intel gigabit. Running samba 3.0.25b, as included
with CentOS (RHEL).
* Netgear GS116 (gigabit)
