Hello, I got the following error message when I executed "make". Can anyone help me on this issue? Thanks! ...build any usb or hid driver. When I try: ./configure --with-user=nut make make usb I get: make[1]: *** No rule to make target `usb.h', needed by `newhidups.o'. Stop. The operating system I want to run it on is Slackware 10.1, though have tried building it on a Slackware 10.2 and even a SimplyMepis 6.0 (Ubuntu Dapper) box with the same results. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Help Wanted With kPPP
Hi all. Firstly, I apologize if this question has been asked before, which I'm sure it has. I'm only new to Linux although I have been 'dabbling' for awhile now with Ubuntu, Fedora Core 4, SimplyMEPIS, Xandros to name a few. I found Centos 4.1 on the cover disk of the September issue of APC Magazine and thought I'd give it a go. I want to learn linux and thought this one was the most compatible with RedHat. I know Fedora comes close but I had a few headaches with it. Anyway, what I need...

file operations issues?
hello everybody, I'm new here. so, I'm running on SimplyMEPIS 7.0 64-bit, and using a 64-bit Wine 1.0 RC1. I'm having a problem that I had in the past too. certain programs give an error about not being able to access a certain file. I copied the software onto the Linux partition in its whole, data files and all, even ran Wine as root, but to no avail....

Problems with Firewall start at Boot time
Hi I have installed Shorewall 2.0.8 from the Debian Repositories and although the firewall is working fine I have a problem with the start up at Boot time. I am running "SimplyMepis" which is a Debian based distro with kernel 2.4 or 2.6. My config is the firewall running on a PC with 2 nics, eth1 connected to a private lan, etho with a fixed ip address connected to another private lan which is connected to just an ADSL Router/Modem. ip addr show 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,...

Can''t get shorewall to start, again
Hey! No, actually shorewall works very well and starts and so on... Thanks for this! Problem is that it won''t start on boot it seems. At least it doesn''t enable forwarding. However, if I do /etc/init.d/shorewall restart it enables forwarding and the rest... But not if I do /etc/init.d/shorewall start ;) Seems weird... System is Debian Sid, Shorewall is prepackaged by Debian...
