SAMBA 4 ACL support
Hi all,
I am experimenting with samba 4. I have existing data on NTFS partition and
want to share them via samba. But I have problems with permissions (ACL).
There is an option: ntvfs handler that tells how mapping of permissions
between unix and windows world shall behave. But there is lack of
documentation. So I tried posix, simiple but in either case I wasnot able to
write even set permissions

Significance of trend
Hi everyone,

fstat <- summary(lm(dat~tim))$fstatistic
p.val <- 1-pf(fstat["value"],fstat["numdf"],fstat["dendf"])
The resultant p.value is 0.261. But I want to know if this
value is sig...

Traffic Shaping on a machine that isn't just a firewall
Hi,
I''m using Shorewall 4.2.10 in Ubuntu 9.10, and I tried to set up some
Traffic Shaping in my network since I share it with my brother and
he''s using more than he should.
Since this is an old version, I''m using TC_ENABLED=Internal.
Everything is working nicely except for the localhost. It falls under
the "default" class, and I don''t know how to
