Samba binding to two IPs, even when specified not to
...I
have the interfaces line specified in smb.conf to use only the local
interface. The 216 one is a public interface.
Here's a snipet from my logs, and I'll post my smb.conf below.
Thanks for any help in advance,

However, if I do this from _within_ the nxclient program it _detects_ my disconnect even though the thread is still running (I believe).
Any ideas?

p.s. Also right now I have functionality to spawn the server directly from the client, but somehow the signal(SIGHUP,SIG_HUP) command causes _both_ the server and client to ignore SIGHUP, even though it is called _only_ in the client. Any ideas? Thank you!

Thank you so much for your help.

SIGUP? Losing Share
...that I
think is when the share goes down. A reboot of the server or a restart
of the smbd fixes the problem (....until it happens again)
I don't know what SIGUP is or why this happens, any help would be great.

At boottime i first load smbd with option -D and after that nmbd -D. But

Hi all
I have got a samba-3.0.13 (hot off the press) PDC running here that also works
as a print server printig via cups-1.1.23. As a backend I use openldap-2.2.11
What I get in my log files is what you see below. It seems this only happens
when the user prints a *.pdf file. The message shows up once in a while,
definetly not for every print job that gets submitted. Printing of those

'Not listening for calling name'
I'm having a strange problem with samba, 2.2.3a running on an
out-of-the-box SuSE 8.0 system. This is the first time I've set it up
(hence the dumb questions I was asking on here a day or two ago). I've now
worked my way through diagnosis.txt and a couple of odd netBIOS issues with
the NT4 PDC, and at last I have some shares set up that my Windows client
can use quite happily.
