imapsieve wrong matches on APPEND cause
Hello,
I'm experiencing some strange problem with imapsieve mailbox rules matching.
I have Ubuntu Server 18.04.1 LTS with Postfix 3.3.0, Dovecot 2.2.33.2 and
Rspamd 1.7.9.
The problem occurs with Microsoft Outlook 2016 mail client.
When moving with Outlook, APPEND event is logged instead of MOVE.
However, when moving with another client, MOVE event is logged.
So without APPEND event in

Sure, but logs contain same info.

executing both scripts in sequence:

Problem rebuilding Centos 5/6 pigeonhole RPM from mercurial version
Hi Stephan, I'm traying to rebuild the RH (Centos) EL5 and EL6 RPM with
the last mercurial pigeonhole 0.4.2 version, but I'm having problems
with the build.
I think that I've isolated the problem outside rpmbuild context.
I've downloaded dovecot and pigeonhole mercurial versions and built
dovecot with the commands:
dovecot-2.2.10$ ./autogen.sh
dovecot-2.2.10$ ./configure

Sieve permissions issue following update
It has been running flawlessly for quite some time until the update.
Global scripts were compiled:
/usr/local/etc/dovecot/sieve # ls

However, I ran sievec again and tried saving a modified script and got the same:

Thank you for the debugging tip, is this useful?

Well, that it does! And it's saying the script is "not up to date" and tries to recompile it. However, I'm not sure why it would say it's NOT up to date, it most certainly was

.dovecot.sieve location issue
Hello,
I am trying to set sieve up on a Centos 7 server.
It's a configuration with postfix, Maildir, MySQL and virtual domains which
works fine.
I have created a simple .dovecot.sieve in the user's directory:
# cat /home/mail/domain.com/user/.dovecot.sieve
require "fileinto";
redirect "other_address at other_domain.com";
Here are the logs:

dovecot-1.2.2+sieve 0.1.9: sieve issues with (global?) includes
..._dir.
After some tests it seems that ths scripts get executed at random:
sometimes the mail gets stored in the correct dir, and sometimes it goes
to inbox. This also happens while using the same compiled .svbin file.
Another indication that something is wrong with the compiled .svbin is
output of sieved (see below). Running sieved on the compiled
test{1,2,3}.svbin files gives regular output.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

imapsieve suddenly not working anymore
Hello one and all.
Dovecot version 2.3.7.1
I've configured imapsieve like
https://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/AntispamWithSieve a while a go and it
worked
for years now. Suddenly i noticed moving mails to the spamfolder does
not trigger the report-spam.sieve
script anymore.
sieve-test gives:
~/.maildir/.Spam/cur $ sieve-test
/usr/share/dovecot/sieve/report-spam.sieve

execute sieve command - fails to notice script has exited
Hi,
Running dovecot 2.2.27 (c0f36b0) on Debian GNU/Linux stable (version
9.6), I'm trying to use the execute command in a sieve script, with
direct execution (not service socket).
The script is executed, and returns (the process exits), but the
dovecot-lda process seems to not notice, and thinks the script did not
terminate. After sieve_execute_exec_timeout has passed, it sends a
TERM, a bit
