RHEL4 - which yum version?
I'm looking at this document to convert RHEL4 systems to Yum and setup an updates repository. http://sial.org/howto/yum/ Which version of yum would you recommend for that? What would be the dependencies that need to be installed? Any guidelines for installing Yum on RHEL4 without breaking the RPM dependencies and stuff (and with minimal changes to the system)? The document recommends yum-2.0.7, bu...

Problem with netlogon\logon.bat not mapping all drives
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me, I have searched for some reason but cannot find any. After migrating from a previous samba-3.0.10 (I think) PDC server to a newer samba-3.0.23c server on Centos5, I have the strange problem that my XP clients no longer map all the drives listed in the logon.bat during logon, however if I run logon.bat manually after I'm logged in, all

Dial Problem
I have a simple problem with sialing a SIP device. I'm SURE it's a syntax problem, but I dunno what it might be. Here are the debug messages: == Accepting call on 'Zap/1-1' ("PENSACOLA, FL" <8503846785>) -- Executing Goto("Zap/1-1", "2111|1") in new stack -- Goto (def...

getting OpenSSH/OpenSSL to utilize /dev/random
I've installed Sun's SUNWski package on Solaris 8 (32-bit) that provides a /dev/random interface. It appears to as cat'ing it gives me a bunch of well, random data. However, when I ran my configure, it gives me the WARNING.RND message to the effect that I'm using the built-in. I've seen allusions on this list to building openssl with to get random support, so I rebuilt it

Testing IMAP clients with Dovecot, problems with MacMail
I've been testing my user community's IMAP clients when I try to login and then transfer a big message from the inbox into a folder in an overquota folder directory. I am using native filesystem quotaing in AIXV5.3 with UWIMAP and comparing my results with what I see with Dovecot 1.0.0. (My Dovecot built without any plugins or quota extensions) Everything matches/works except for Mac
