some basic questions
I'm seeking a small IMAP server, and dovecat was recommended by those more
savvy than me. (The sign on my monitor is "My programming language is
solder..") so I'll be getting help to deploy this, but first...
I've read through the wiki docs but still have questions, ones likely too
obvious for most readers....
There will be <100 users, the platform will Debian, and I

[PATCH] nvkm/iccsense: Parse the resistors and config the right way
Previously we parsed that table a bit wrong:
1. The entry layout depends on the sensor type used.
2. We have all resitors in one entry for the INA3221.
3. The config is already included in the vbios.
This commit addresses that issue and with that we should be able to read
out the right power consumption for every GPU with a INA209, INA219 and
INA3221.

[PATCH 0/4] Configure Power Sensors
The power sensors can be configured to sample the readout values over time.
Nvidia does this too, so nouveau should probably do that too.

Mangling TOS, or Precedence/SecurityOpts/Compartment?
...shown in Figure 1, it
has two Ethernet ports, and in general acts like a bridge in that it
possesses a Bypass Card, which allows the Tool Server and the Controller
Machine to pass traffic through its two Ethernet ports.
One of the features of the Bypass card it contains, is that it physically
shunts the copper Ethernet connections together when, say, power is cut.
It runs in an unshunted format when conducting Analysis, and shunts
the copper back together when it hangs up Its purpose is to sit
BETWEEN the Tool and Controller machines, and intercept data they are
exchanging, for analys...

Multiple backgroundrb servers?
What are people are doing when they need to deploy a new code base? You
can''t just restart backgroundrb, because then you lose any long-running
backgroundrb processes. But then you''d conceivably have to wait several
hours for all your procs to complete before pushing out the new code base.
I was originally thinking that during code deploys, we''d start up a second

STI, controllers and views
Hello,
I have set up that uses single table inheritance. I have a number of
model subclasses following the example in AWDWR that uses Manager <
Employee < Person.
First question. Do I need to create controller classes for each? I
don''t think I do because a single controller should be able to shunt the
data between the models and the views.
Second question. Say I have a view

Moving axis-labels
Hi,
This is hopefully quite a straightforward quandary. I have made a simple R
plot but the values on my x-axis are sufficiently large enough that they
interfere my x-axis label. How can I shunt the x-axis label further away
from the x-axis?
Thanks
Jim

multiple plots with QQplot of PerformanceAnalytics
Hi All,
I am trying to plot 4 graphs on to 1 page using layout(...), or par(mfcol =
c(...)); with the function QQplot from the package PerformanceAnalytics.
The problem is that, no matter what order I use, it only plots 3 graphs on to 1
page and the last QQplot is shunted to the next page.
Also, this only happens to the QQplot, i.e. there is no problem with 4
Histograms.

Skipping panels in Lattice
Dear all,
I wish to generate a lattice boxplot which skips an empty cell in a design.
I have trawled r-help, scruitinized xyplot(lattice) help page, and merrily
reproduced examples of using skip from a couple of previous r-help queries
and the example given in Pinheiro & Bates. But I must be missing something...
Here's an example (running R 1.9.1 on Win2k):

[compiler-rt] '-fprofile-generate' and embedded systems

Well you could always write a ‘filesystem’ that shunts all data out the serial port (or similar).

[LLVMdev] Why can't atomic loads and stores handle floats?
David provided one good answer. I'll give another.
The current design pushes complexity into the language frontend for - as
far as I know - no good reason. I can say from recent experience that
the corner cases around atomics are both surprising and result in odd
looking hacks in the frontend. To say this differently, why should
marking loads and stores atomic required me to rewrite

Recommendation for dialplan in case of DDoS atta cks?
I'm trying to formulate a strategy for our interconnected Asterisk IAX peers
to failover to the PSTN in the event of a DDoS. We currently use them like
this:
DID--->PRI--->Primary Asterisk--->IAX--->On-site Asterisk--->SIP
This works fine, and everyone is happy. One of my concerns, though, is if we
get DDoS'd - which happens probably once every couple of years. I'd

[compiler-rt] '-fprofile-generate' and embedded systems
What is the best way of porting the 'compiler-rt' Profile library for an
embedded system with no file-system (and hence no 'fopen', etc.)?
What I would like to do is use it as normal, but then use a custom solution
for getting the resulting data off the system. It seems that this library
(and the other compiler-rt libraries) are designed only to work with a
hosted system.

DTMF suddenly stopped working on SIP channel
Hi All,
Anyone have any idea what could cause incoming calls on a SIP channel
to no longer be able to use DTMF? DTMF on incoming calls on zaptel and
on local SIP softphones and ATAs all work fine. Nothing gets
registered in the CDR or on the console in verbose level 10, it just
times out. I haven't changed anything on my part and can't get through
to Viatalk tech support to ask them

apache - upload files bigger than 2Go
Hi,
I need to upload files larger than 4.4Gb (iso DVD) on CentOS (5.5 x64)
http server (httpd-2.2.3-43.el5.centos)
On the apache server set in my /etc/php.ini
upload_max_filesize = 4900M
post_max_size = 5000M
In my httpd.conf I set :
LimitRequestBody 0
I'm using firefox and/or chrome client for upload a file with 4.2gb size
on the server.
But it doesn't work.

Static files in public
My question is about the static files in the Rails public folder. These
files should be served by Apache instead of Mongrel, so do I need to
upload these files to Apache''s htdoc''s or will Apache cache them the
first time they are requested from Mongrel... Im not sure how this works?
Many thanks.
