Bitkeeper refusing entry
I am trying to follow the instructions for compiling Icecast 2 at http://i.cantcode.com/~jack/icecast.html . However, I am not getting very far. When I type bk clone bk://shredder.sneakyninja.com/bkroot/icecast icecast I get bk://shredder.sneakyninja.com/bkroot/icecast: Connection refused It worked a few weeks ago the last time I tried it. What's changed? Regards, Simon B. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://...

...eliminate the problem either, just delays it another 24 hours. So. That pretty much covers it. Only three of the phones are doing this, and they only started a few days ago. They were working *fine* for months! Does anyone have any ideas here? I'm about ready to throw these phones into a tree shredder. Thanks! ......jurgen -- thinger@gmail.com is jurgen's gmail address. Anyway, despite my eyes, the fact remains that vorbis.com has problems resolving. Primary

Wiping USB drives
Hi, I have a dozen of drives, ranging from 10Gb to 200Gb. I want to wipe them clean before donating them. I have a IDE/SATA to USB converter that works. I can see the drives properly. DBAN does not currently support external USB drive. Any other alternatives? -- Thanks http://www.911networks.com When the network has to work

Old HP Xeon server blade with only SCSI HDD ports & CentOS
Hi there. I got myself a pair of old Intel Xeon blades, which I plan to repurpose with CentOS. The model is : HP bl20p-g3 server blade Manual http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12322_ca/12322_ca.pdf Now, the main problem with this hardware is that LVD UW SCSI HDDs are hard to find and hella expensive if you find em (and of reduced capacity). I've pulled the plug on viewcvs
While trying to get other work done on Motherfish-II, I couldn't help but notice that machine load was over *200*, due entirely to the viewCVS CGI. Either we were being DoSed via the cgi, or it's too inefficient to even think about using. Motherfish is a server intended for *core services only*. We've been steadily forgetting that. Core services include CVS, mail and web. They

Dear Aki, I switched to "gz" now, since "zstd" also gave some errors on writing to files. I dont know if "xz" compression or "zstd" shreddered my MDBOX Files, but I lost 4 days of mail. (a couple of thousand mails). After restoring the backup (what was made after switching to version 2.3.11.3) I still have some broken mdfiles, but not too many. memory pages nulling when releasing
Hello everyone! Could you tell me if FreeBSD supports memory page nulling when releasing it to prevent unauthorized access to data left in the page after it's allocated again. If it does, what sys calls etc provide that? IMHO this is an important issue when operating data with different sensivity levels. Thanks in advance. Nick
