Access denied when copy file via batch script to samba shre
Hello,
I want to replicate some files from one linux samba share (share=install)
to another one (share=install).
When I copy these files manually over the Windows Explorer (drag/drop), I
have no problem I can create,overwrite a existing file.
When I do it via a dos batch (robocopy) I have the error message "Access
denied". I'm authenticated as the same user in both steps.

Samba serving sshfs shares: can't delete files
...der. All works just fine
except I can't delete files from sshfs unless they are in 0777 chmodded
directory. Even if that files were putted trough smbclient. I can read
files, write files (regardless their directory permissions) but not
delete them.
Here is my share config:
[myshare]
comment = shre over sshfs
path = /home/kli/work/remotes/dev
valid users = kli
public = no
writable = yes
printable = no
delete readonly = yes
read only = no
force group = kli
force user = kli
/home/kli/work/remotes/dev is sshfs-mounted directory on another server.
It's accessible by everyone and mounted wi...

Dumb questions
...pdate: update failed: REFUSED
/usr/local/samba/sbin/samba_dnsupdate: update failed: REFUSED
/usr/local/samba/sbin/samba_dnsupdate: update failed: REFUSED
I think I'll have to manually add a a line to named.conf to allow this host
to update DDNS records, might help.
Other question is: I have a shre I want to be viewable as with Samba3, but
hwnever I browse NetHood, I don't see my Samba4 Servers, I _do_ see them if
I do \\server\share at the command prompt or Run... window. Is there anyway
to make Samba4 shares viewable?.
Thanks.

Security ADS and clearcase
...ght about an ldap gateway, or install an "standalone" PDC in a dummy domain ,which sources the AD for passwd and group settings , because we need a seamless mounting of samba shares in order to provide our clearcase vobs to the XP clients.
Maybe someone is in a similar situation and can shre his (here) knowledge to the community.
Thanks in advance Martin Schreiber

AW: authentification problems
Hi Tom,
meanwhile I'm using Samba 2.2.8a, and I don't have a real solution for the problem. I managed to reduce the occurance of the error by using "security = domain" and "password server = *". The problem occures only on about 6% of all clients (log level 1, max log size 300kB). So I decided to ignore these errors.
If a user complains about that (PW query pops up,
