Running Foxpro Applications from a network share
...pplication off the server, the foxpro window pops out, but instead of being able to load the files, it displays an error 'application.exe cannot be found'.
- I've try using plain old SMB to run the file.
- Mounting the network folder using CIFS.
- Setting the registry entry of wine for ShowDirSymlinks to TRUE
However, I'm getting the same results across the board. I get the same errors when trying it from my laptop.
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks!
By the way, in case anyone thought of it, the foxpro application is from local vendor, who refuses support the application under...

mapping a directory
Hello All,
I have installed the latest Wine onto my Linux Redhat 7.2 and it
seems to run very well for the most part.
I can easily map a Linux directory to a Windows drive, but I actually
have a need to be able to map a linux directory to windows
subdirectory. About the only way that I can currently think of that
might work would be to use a symbolic link on the Linux subsystem.
cheers,
Lonnie

Question about drives
I am setting up wine for use with students in a school.
So far it works as a generic system in /usr/share/windowsapps/.wine
When the student logs in they get a sym-link created in their area that
points to this....all is working fine....
But when they go to save in say Microsoft Word, they get access to the whole
.wine folder by following the sym-links. I know that these are coming from

Wine and ntfs
I am trying to use wine on a double boot system with NTFS on the windows
(2000) end of the disk. Does Wine support this? Although Wine appears to
be installed properly I can't get any win-apps running.
