real direct access to dns to make the changes.
Currently, all I have done is setup a mongrel_cluster using three
servers on one physical linux box, modified the rewritebase within
the .htaccess file of the public folder and I have made a symlink ::
/var/www/html/rails/shovell is a symlink to /development/shovell/

When I visit it on my computer, I get a 500 error (from my windows
machine on the same network). When I visit it from the linux machine,
I get the site, but without CSS. And when someone else visits it,
apparently they get the site... so I''...

i used the hivelogic article to install ruby on rails to my mac:

You might hope that it would have that effect, but I don't think it is
working. Also, if it does work, all it does is generate more patches,
making the `rc' more of a `prod to get your stuff shoveled in'.

11025kHz and framesizes question
...1025 kHz signal, without adjusting the framesize, and it's been sounding just fine to me. However I was wondering what the best way to make 11025kHz would be. I also have an audio driver that uses 2kB buffers, and the NB framesize of 160 doesn't divide evenly into that so I end up having to shovel tails of buffers around which isn't too efficient.
So I wondered if there was a clean way I could change the NB mode buffer size to be 256, which would be a little closer 20ms at 11025 but also be divisible by 2048.
Should I add a new custom mode to the modes array or should I mess with the N...

Periodic lockup problem with ext3
On several machines with ext3 we have a periodic "unresponsiveness"
problem.
Take for example our mailserver: When it handles a lot of
email (lots of deliveries to Maildirs), it shovels the data into the
Maildirs.
But every now and then (the interval being >> 5s, the commit
interval) the machine becomes unresponsive, your hear a lot of disk
activity, and after about 12-18s the machine is back to normal.
Nobody knows what's happening during that phase.
The same with m...

All existing userspace treats dma_bufs as long-lived objects. Well, all
the userspace that expects implicit syncing, afaik Android shovels lots of
dma-bufs around all the time (since ion is using them as it's native
buffer handles).
So adding an exclusive fence once at export time isn't going to be
terribly useful.
So I think a better approach would be to add this as ioctls to the dma-buf
fd itself. Then you can also add a...

PHP5/CentosPlus big mess.
Ok, so if you tuned in last time, I couldn't make the installation/upgrade of
PHP5 from the Centos4 CentOS Plus repository work. Not one to be easilly
dissuaded, I shapened my shovel and dug myself a hole.
So using the exclude= lines in the repository config file backfired big time:
even if I excluded the exclude= lines, yum continued to exclude the files
on those lines, and only deigned to update three php files. Thus, my user
complained that the mysql pieces were not there....
