Question about datatypes/plotting issue
Hi,
I am trying to plot the Case-Shiller index found at: http://www2.standardandpoors.com/spf/pdf/index/CSHomePrice_History_022445.xls
The way I'm importing it into R is as follows:
library(gdata)
W <- read.xls("http://www2.standardandpoors.com/spf/pdf/index/CSHomePrice_History_022445.xls
", header=TRUE)
attach(W)...

Installing RMySQL with MySQL-4.0.12 on Debian Linux
Hi,
I got error messeges when I try to install RMySQL. The version of
MySQL installed on my Debian is 4.0.12. Error messages were about the
location of /include and /lib of MySQL distribution. Final error
messages were;
usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lz
Any tips or advices?

unable to load package RPgSQL
Hi all,
I'm trying to install an add-on package for R called RPgSQL. Its role
will be to link R with a PostgreSql database. I work on a Linux machine.
However, I'm quite a newbie as far as R's concerned, and I don't manage
to install the package properly.
That's the steps I followed :
* downloading the package (archive)
