Why it's happening ? and how can I prevent it to happen ?

Port numbers for traffic shaping
Hello All,
I'm not certain that I have my firewall setup to perform traffic
shaping correctly for *. I'm using a m0n0wall running on a Soekris 4501
platform. I have traffic shaping set to provide IAX port 4569 with
priority outbound access from LAN to WAN. All other outbound access is
lower priority. This should in theory accomodate my ADSL connection
which is 1.5 Mbps inbound but only

php53 and MSSQL
[Reposted now I've joined the list, so I hopefully don't get moderated out]
Hi,
I've upgraded lots of machines to 5.6 (thanks!) and there was one
particular machine that I'd also like to upgrade to PHP 5.3.
Unfortunately it seems I can't.
On the machine I have php-mssql installed, and it appears that there is
no php53-mssql.
php-mssql is built from the php-extras SRPM, so

centos guide
hello,
my name is RichardKennesson
I wrote a guide in LaTeX about how to get Redmine up and running with
mercurial. I plan on adding Git and SVN to the guide.
I would like to share it with the community so that they can critique it
and test it.

RaidzN blocksize ... or blocksize in general ... and resilver
The default blocksize is 128K. If you are using mirrors, then each block on
disk will be 128K whenever possible. But if you''re using raidzN with a
capacity of M disks (M disks useful capacity + N disks redundancy) then the
block size on each individual disk will be 128K / M. Right? This is one of
the reasons the raidzN resilver code is inefficient. Since you end up
waiting for the

Anyone have any experience with a R510 with the PERC H200/H700 controller

My perception is that Dell doesn''t play well with OpenSolaris.

zfs send to remote any ideas for a faster way than ssh?
I''ve tried ssh blowfish and scp arcfour. both are CPU limited long before the 10g link is.
I''vw also tried mbuffer, but I get broken pipe errors part way through the transfer.
I''m open to ideas for faster ways to to either zfs send directly or through a compressed file of the zfs send output.
For the moment I;

Running clang tests
Hi,
I’d just like to interject to say that building within Visual Studio isn’t really that bad. Running the lit tests is a bit painful because the LLVM build tools that are integrated with the build system don’t play nice with msbuild. Particularly, I’ve never been able to actually cancel an invocation of lit or tablegen via visual studio. That said, there is a huge upside to building with

ZFS and Linux
Hello,
I believe that ZFS and it''s concepts is truly revolutionary to the
point that I no longer see any OS as modern if it does not have
comparable storage functionality. Therefore I think that file
system/disk manager with similar qualities should be written for Linux.
Does Sun have plans to dual license ZFS as GPL so it can be ported to
native Linux?
If not, is it legal to write
